THE LEADING MAN - PART 2: Carter Lane Garcia

"How's going there? Is she alright? Don't lose your eyes at her. Make sure she's safe without anyone seeing her in that place. It's dangerous for her."

"I fucking really didn't have an idea about what's going on, Hunter. But I'll make sure to drag her away from this place safe and sound."

He sighed on the other line. "Okay, good. I owe you, man. Thanks."

"I'm not doing this for you, asshole. You have a lot to explain to me when we see each other." I ended the call.

Hunt said that people here are so toxic and full of issues that sometimes, it is not true.

"You should be thankful." I cut her words while pulling her away from the orphanage.

Moments later, she realize that I'm not she's expecting to so I explain in an instant.

And after a long argument and running from the orphanage, we finally reach where I parked my big bike.

Fuck shit, heart! Kalma lang!

I bear to hold my breath until we reached to the small business of mine here in the Philippines. The Mhami Resto.

Good thing I was alive when we arrived. I was too suffocating while she's gathered her arms around my waist then she pulled herself close to me and hold tight.

"WHY DO you keep asking some questions about me?" tanong niya habang hinihintay ang order namin.

"Because it's my turn to ask you now." I said.

"Fine."

"That's my girl."

Fuck. I slipped!

Tumikhim ako. "So, my first question is, how did you two knew each other?"

Malungkot siyang ngumiti bago nagsimula. "Uhm, we've knew each other since we were kids at the Hope Orphanage. When the time that I stepped foot on that place, kids started to bully me because of my appearance. At first, I was living in the streets, free and happy even without food or no where to go. At least no one bullies me, right?

I was three years old back then and to my lucky, I was the only one who survived. They were dead on arrival at the hospital. Physically, mentally at emotionally."
