Andrew's POV

I concluded my last meeting of the day. Sending a smirk at Kelsey before leaving the meeting room to my office.

She agreed to have dinner with me tonight. The situation I caught her in has worked my way impeccably. I can't believe what she has been doing. Well, if I'm honest, I can. And knowing I'm having her as insane as she is having me, works as an assurance in a certain way.

She is so stubborn. She won't leave with me even if we are going to the same place. Just because she doesn't want people thinking she is having an affair with the boss.

"Hi, Andy!" Diana greets me on the phone, and my jaw tenses. The more I tell her I hate the nickname the more she uses it.

"Hi Di".

"I've started the check-up exams this week. When are you going to do it?"

"Soon", true to be told, I have no idea. I don't have time in my diary for this and certain things are better to stay unknown. "Did you have any results already?"

I'm concerned about her. The girl eats sugar like an ant.

"Yeah, my glucose and cholesterol levels were a bit high. It didn't show any indication of diabetes, though".

"How much?" I ask, sensing her voice tense on the phone.

"The glucose level was around one hundred and fifty".

"The hell Di. What the hell are you eating?"

"I will pay more attention. I ate a lot of junk food lately because of my finals".

"You better. You will redo this exam in a month and send me a picture. If the results are not good, I won't send you any money next month."

"That's not fair. You can't cut me off, you are not my father".

Well, someone must do the job since the man doesn't do it. And it has been me for a while, she should be used to it.

He has his stupid rule about money. We shouldn't be spoiled, and we have to learn how to manage it.

But he never updated the expenses. He still thinks she could live with the same amount he did when he was in college. Because he succeeds it, we should too. It disgusts me how he believes he is a great father, that we should be grateful because his father was so hard on him. As if he is any easy on us.

Perhaps Diana is not eating well because of the lack of money? I just cut her off and now I'm considering raising the money I send her.

"Andy? I didn't -" I forgot she was still on the line.

"Do you have enough money to eat well Di?"

"I do. It was just the lack of time and stress. I didn't think I was eating that bad, I swear. I'll pay attention to it".

"It has to be your priority."

"Yeah, fine".

"How is grandma?"

"She's fine. Worried, but fine".

"Worried about what?"

"The exams we're doing. The father's exams show an indication of diabetes as the grandfather had. And we have barely started running it. In the next couple of weeks, we're going to do some specific exams. Especially for heart problems."

"He has diabetes?"

"It seems like it. They will dig on it. He doesn't have the worst type though."
