CH. 16 Why is Everyone and Everything Weird?

(Y/N) POV)

As you dragged Bokuto into the hallway, you began to feel nervous. He looked at you, his eyes gleaming with anticipation and anxiety for what you wanted to say.
"I-i just wanted to apologize for avoiding you this morning..."
You said, he looked confused as to why YOU were apologizing. You thought for a moment about what you were going to say next.
"To be honest I don't even know why I was avoiding you, I just really hope you forgive me?"
You looked at him nervously as he sighed in what one could hope was relief. He did his typical happy grin and accepted your apology, it looked like there was something more behind that grin, but you couldn't place your finger on it...

BOKUTO POV

As we walked back into the cafeteria, I noticed Kuroo's eyes on us, I went over to him as (y/n) headed back to the table.
"So what was that all about? Did you finally ask her out~ hmmm~???"
The bedhead asked with a smirk. I blushed and shook my head rapidly,
"Not yet! She was avoiding me all morning so she wanted to apologize..."
I said thinking about it. Kuroo just sighed and shook his head, offended I blurted out,
"Hey! I just want to make sure it's the right time! I'm not gonna ask her out here of all places!!!"
Kuroo just laughed as I went back to my table and pouted. (Y/n) noticed first,
"Hey, Bokuto what's up?"
She asked concerned. The way she speaks to me always makes me melt, she always knows what to say or do to make me feel comforted. I guess that's one of the reasons I fell for her.
"Bokuto, Bokuuutoooo!! Helloooo? Earth to Owl!"
I snapped out of my day dream only to realize she had been waiting for an answer that never came.
"S-sorry I zoned out hehe..."
I said sheepishly with a grin, she sighed but smiled at the same time. I noticed (bff) looking at me with a smirk... OH GOD SHE KNOWS!!! I panic internally as lunch finishes up and we go back to practicing.

(BFF) POV

During the afternoon practice I noticed that Bokuto and (y/n) kept glancing at each other.  It was SO obvious that they liked each other... So WHY haven't they asked each other out yet?!?! [A/N: Do I need to remind you of the fact that YOU were the same way?!?!] Okay... maybe I know the reason why but still! I need to think of a plan to get them together by the end of our trip! I may even need reinforcements!

(Y/N) POV

(BFF) is up to something and you know it. And you know what it is too... revenge! Revenge for the movie marathon! You're already feeling embarrassed without even knowing what she's gonna do! You already know what the outcome is going to be though, he'll only see you as a friend. There are plenty of other girls that are WAY prettier. You think of the other managers and some of the girls you've seen in your class and sigh. Shaking your head of these thoughts, you decide to remain positive and hope that there's a chance that he sees you the same way.
"God I hope he does..."
"Who ya talking bout?"
You jump back not realizing you said that out loud. You look and see that it's kuroo and sigh.
"Jesus man! You scared the shit outta me!!!"
You say as he laughs. Not my fault you've been stuck in your head. You glare at him before sighing,
"So what's up? What ya want?"
You say, fully turning to look at him. He shrugs and sits down on the bench,
"Bored, I guess. My teams done for right now."
"Okay... then go bother someone else. How bout that blonde kid with glasses you and Bokuto have been OBSESSED with?"
You ask, knowing that that's the reason Bokuto had been going to bed late. You pestered him until he broke and told you. Kuroo looked shocked then composed himself.
"His team was last so they're doing extra training."
"Oh ew."
There was silence after that, it wasn't really awkward, but it wasn't comfortable either.
"Welp... I gotta go fill water bottles now."
You said standing up and stretching. Kuroo did the same and you grabbed the bottles and left as he pestered Bokuto during the break.
'I wonder what (BFF) is planning... and also how this trip is gonna go...'
