Ms. Understanding (Bokuto x Reader)

Ch. 13 The Intermission.

You were still irritated most of the week but, it was better now that you had Bokuto around. You were still skeptical though, who knew if he would slip up and let the truth out. What if he told Akaashi? And what if Akaashi told (bff)?! You were lost in thought, biting your nail nervously. (Bff) snapped you out of it with a shout.
"Hey! You good?"
She asked as you started to trail behind the group. They all looked at you curiously as you sheepishly grinned and laughed slightly. As you all walked to the gym you sighed slightly in relief. Autumn break was around the corner and you couldn't be more grateful for that. You and (bff) were going to visit your grandparents again. You wanted to invite the guys, but you weren't sure that it was appropriate. As you and (bff) were doing your typical managerial duties she asked you what you wanted to ask her.
"Hey, (y/n)? Do you mind if I invite Akaashi to come with us for fall break? We can bring Bokuto too!"
She basically begged. You rolled your eyes and smiled,
"Fiiiinnneeee I guess your boyfriend can come with~"
You teased and nudged ger with your shoulder. She giggled and you both played around a bit as the team continued to practice. You and (bff) decided to ask the guys after practice was over.
"Hey Bokuto!"
You yell as (bff) grabbed Akaashi. He turned to you with a grin.
"Whatsup?"
He questions.
"So, (bff) and I are going to visit my grandparents during fall break in Okayama. Do you and Akaashi want to come with?"
He seemed shocked at the proposal but smiled widely.
"HEY HEY HEY! A trip with friends?! What more could I want!!! I'll go if Akaashi is in!"
Akaashi also agreed because you all kept pestering him. You all checked the schedule to make sure the dates didn't conflict with anything. Luck was on your side because you only had a weekend training camp that ended the day before you were supposed to leave. It was still a week or two away but you still had to order the tickets. Everyone pitched in and you called your grandparents to let them know that there were two more guests coming with. You noticed that this week's practice match was with Ubugawa, a school in the area, but not really up there in terms of skill. You figured it would be an easy win. As the week came to a close, you were exhausted. You were packing up at the end of the day with (bff), you sigh as you lift your bag over your shoulders. (Bff) looks over at you concerned,
"You alright?"
You nodded,
"Yeah, just tired. Its been a long week."
You sighed again remembering how your grandparents had decided to pester you for details on your new friends. They seemed excited about this, but it was tiresome having them call and text all the time when you were trying to get work done. You finally told them that they would meet them soon and that you had to finish up your work or else you wouldn't be able to go. They stopped calling after that, but still texted you frequently. Despite this, you were happy they were interested in how you were doing. You and (bff) walked slowly to practice, the other team wouldn't be there for another half hour so you guys decided to take your time. Coming up to the door you heard the typical
"AKAASHIIIIII!!!"
Both of you sighed before giggling and entering the gym. As predicted, Fukurodani won, but the other team put in a good effort. Their manager was nice and you even told her what her team could do to improve as she wrote down notes. You all said your goodbyes and thank yous before closing down the gym. You, (bff), Akaasi, and Bokuto had all gotten into the habit of walking home together since you all lived relatively close to each other. You all would talk about nonsensical things, well, at least three of you would. Akaashi would usually just sigh and wonder why he knows us which results in Bokuto and (bff) whining.
(Y/nnnnnnn), Akaashi's being mean to meeeeeeeeee!"
(Bff) said as she clung to you, you roll your eyes and let out a soft laugh.
"Well he's your boyfriend, what do you want me to do about it?"
(Bff) puffed her cheeks and pouted causing you to laugh. You then turned her toward Akaashi,
"C'mon Akaashi, how can you be mad at this face."
He turns to see (bff) pouting and blushes a bit.
"F-fine, I guess you're right..."
He says as (bff) grinned and hugged him. You reach your and (bff)'s houses and say goodbye to the guys respectively as they go their separate ways.

OOF sorry for the lack of updates kinda got burnt out with school coming up and other issues. I'll try to get back on schedule soon! Next chapter will hopefully be up Friday also how would you guys like an Akaashi x Reader as well? It could be like the plot line here, (up until the movie marathon arc obvs)
