Ms. Understanding (Bokuto x Reader)

Ch. 1 meeting him

Waking up hasn't always been easy for you but neither has falling asleep. People think it's just irresponsibility but you and your mother know better. You get up and start getting ready for school realizing that you're up a little late but it doesn't bother you since you still had time before (bff) got there. Once you're dressed and ready to go, you head downstairs.
"Morning mom!"
You say as you grab a quick snack for breakfast.
"Good morning sweety! I packed (f/f) in your lunch and heres some extra cash for (f/d)"
She says as she hands you some change for the vending machines.
"Thanks, mom! Did dad already leave for work?"
You ask as you place the lunch and the money in your bag.
"Yes, and he's on business again so he won't be home for the rest of the week..."
She says in a mischievous tone. You smile knowing what was being planned. Your father's birthday was on Saturday so you and your mother had planned a surprise party for him with some friends and family, this business trip couldn't come at a better time! He comes home on friday so you and your mother had 4 days to get everything they needed. While you two were talking and planning, the doorbell started to ring intensely.
"OKAY WE GET IT I'M COMING OUT JEEZ!!!"
You shout while hurriedly gathering your items. You leave the house after giving your mother a kiss on the cheek and there awaits your best friend, (bff).
"What up, bitch?"
She says,
"The sky, dumbass!"
You say back. You both giggle a bit and idly chat as you walk to school. During your walk you hear a strange noise followed by some giggles up ahead. Curious, you both follow the sound. And there they stood in all their glory... the captain of the volleyball team and their ever so lively ace. Akaashi Keji and Bokuto Koutarou. You and (bff) knew Akaashi decently, your bestfriend more so since you didn't really socialize. Bokuto was a different story... you didn't, nor did you wish, to know Bokuto, to you he was loud, obnoxious, and a flirt. And he was being all three to these other random girls from your school. Akaashi looked bored and noticed you guys. (Bff) waved while you stuck with a subtle nod. He slipped away unnoticed.
"Hello (y/n), (bff)..."
He said, lingering more on (bff).
You smirked knowing that he liked her and that she liked him back but they weren't going to say anything. So you decided to have some fun.
"Well, I'm gonna continue my walk alone while these lovebirds just stand around and gawk"
You say with a giggle, they both turn beet red. Akaashi looks away and (bff) starts play hitting you and you laugh a bit more loudly than you intended while she was shouting about how 'it's not funny' and that 'I shouldn't say things like that'. You notice movement out of the corner of your eye and see that three new sets of eyes were staring at the three of you. The two girls stared at you annoyed but Bokuto stared curiously...
"Ugh what are they doing?"
(R/G1) said.
"I don't know but they're soooo annoying! Don't you think so too, Bokuto~?"
R/G2) said while getting closer to said man. He just stared trying to comprehend the situation, glancing from Akaashi to you and (bff) a couple times before it clicked and a smile started to grow as he shouted
"Akaashi has a crush?!"
You, still mischievous from the original comment agreed.
"Yep! He's got a crush on this cutie riiiiiight heeeeeerrreeee!!!" You say as you tickle (bff)
"Hahahahahaha (y/n) stop it! It's not funny~!"
"Oh really? Then why are you laughing hmmmmmm~?"
But soon you begin to crash. You try to stop it and it almost works, you fake it long enough to laugh at (bff) once more and say,
"Hey we're gonna be late hurry up and run!" And off you two went.

Bokuto's POV

As the two girls ran off he stared after them.
"I'm glad hes not into the (h/c)..."
He mumbles as he walks over to Akaashi to mess with him more on their walk to school. He wanted to know her more she seemed like a fun person. It's even better since they know Akaashi. He'll have to ask Akaashi to invite them to practice after school. But for now, he'll just pick on his best friend for having a crush and not telling him.
