Chase POV:

Everything went to shit too soon.

We walked into the private room with all the right steps in place for the trade to go our way. How the hell did it get screwed up?

We sat down on the plush sofa across from the one Vincent sat at. He was leaning back, lounging with a drink in his hand.

He had two men stationed behind him like his bodyguards. This motherfucker was too much of a pussy to handle his trades on his own.

Ryker set the brief case down on the table inbetween the couches. Vincent set his drink down and grabbed the case.

"Did your father not want to join us Chase?" Vincent asked in his pesky British accent.

"He thought we should handle this trade alone" I said between gritted teeth. Just hearing this pricks voice made me enraged.

Vincent has caused more shit to our Mafia than any others. I know it will be a pleasure to kill him tonight, to see his pleading face before I blast a bullet in his head.

"And when you say we, does that involve those three little ladies outside trying to distract my guards?" Vincent smirked.

A confused look crossed my face. How the hell did he know they were working with us? I looked over at Hayes beside me and caught his eye. I knew he was thinking the same thing I was.

"I don't know what the fuck your talking about" Ryker uttered. Vincent placed the money back in the case and leaned in his chair. "Oh I think you know exactly what I'm talking about."

Vincent reached behind his back and pulled out a hand gun from his belt. He placed it on the table in front of him.

This was a common thing to do in the Mafia. Rivals will lay their weapons out during an exchange indicating that there won't be any use of them.

The three of us followed and took out our guns, placing it on the table. "Your guards" Hayes indicated. Vincent motioned with his head and the two men behind him emptied there weapons on the table as well.

"I know what your intentions of tonight were planning to be" Vincent said bluntly, like he had known this for a decade. "I should just kill you and your little damsels in distress now, but I am willing to keep our deal on the table."

I glared at the bastard. I ran every idea in my head of how he could of known our plans. Only one made the most sense.

"The deals not up for sale anymore" I growled.

Vincent chuckled. "I would rethink that if I were you. You see, with the flick of my wrist, I could make all your little puppets lives go bye bye" he snickered.

I made a small glance out the door. I caught a glimpse of Kaitlyn trying to seduce one of the men at the main entrance.

"Now there's just the question of who I should kill first" Vincent said menacingly. He leaned forward and rested his forearms on his knees.

"Let's see. Should it be the spunky one with the bitchy attitude?" he sneered. I saw Hayes clench his fists like he wanted to kill someone.

"Or should it be the hot one with the mahogany hair?" he continued. Ryker gave him a glare that would have made anyone go running.

"Or the innocent one with that pretty face of hers?" he smiled cruelly. God I wanted to smash his fucking face in.

"You're all bark, but no bite" Ryker snarled at him.

"If you think I'm bluffing then test it out yourself" Vincent said calmly.

I knew what he was doing. Leverage is a very powerful weapon to have in the Mafia business. Maybe even more powerful than a gun.

"Walk away now and I won't rip your head off and feed it to the alley dogs" I said cruelly.

"Does that mean there's no deal then" Vincent huffed like this was just another inconvenience to his day.

"You can take your deal and shove it up your ass" Hayes hissed.

Vincent sighed. "Well, I guess I'll have to start with the mahogany girl first."

In a flash I saw Ryker reach out for his gun and grab it. He shot out swiftly. That was the last thing I saw before everything went to chaos.
