"She'll be with you."
My breath caught in my throat. "Me?"
"Yes, you" his father said. He stood up from his seat and walked towards us. "I want to see what you're made of Kaitlyn. You seem like a feisty girl, maybe you would be good out in the field."
"Father she can't come" Chase told him in astonishment. "She can barely even throw a punch, much less kill someone."
"She won't need to kill anyone" His father said. He leaned back on the front of his desk and crossed his arms. "I want her to be the distraction."
"Distraction?" I asked in bewilderment. "Mr. Mills I-
"Call me Matthew love" His father said. I swallowed down my discomfort. "Matthew I- I don't know anything about dealing or fighting, or anything about Mafia's."
"Oh but dear you don't need any of that. I want you to distract some of the guards and Vincents's men making the job easier for Chase." Matthew said.
There's no way he actually wanted me to do this. I had no experience in any of this and I wasn't even part of the Mafia.
"Father I can't risk her coming. She could get hurt, or much worse killed" Chase told him.
Matthew pushed himself off the desk and walked over to me. "Come on Chase, she can handle herself just fine." he said. He came over and lifted up my chin with his finger. "You'll be great won't you hun?"
Chase glared at him. "Even if she did come, we still wouldn't be able to do it just the two of us" he said.
Matthew took his hand off my chin and went back to leaning on the desk. "Hayes and Ryker will go with you. And don't worry Kaitlyn you won't be alone" he said. "I'm sure that Hayes' and Ryker's little girlfriends can join as well.
"You want Ivy and Alyssa to come too?" Chase asked. "They've never been on a mission either."
"Well Chase it looks like you've got some training to do then." Matthew said. "But father-"
"End of discussion Chase" His father snapped. "Now leave me. The trade is on Thursday and I expect you to go through with my plans. Do not fail me."
Chase got off of the couch and roughly grabbed my hand. He led me out of the office and down the hall. I could tell Chase was steaming with anger.
"Fucking dick" he muttered as we walked. "Chase we're not actually going to go through with this are we?" I asked him.
"Do you want to go back and tell my father no?" He said. "But there's no way I can do this. I cant do this" I told him.
"Then we'd better start your training."
...
Chase had called Ryker and Hayes and told them what his father had asked them to do. They were just as surprised as we were that he wanted me, Ivy and Alyssa to come.
I would have never thought in a million years I would be here today, training to go on a deadly mafia mission with the boy who had taken me away from my life.
How did Chase's father think I could go? I'm not suited for this in anyway and I thought I wasn't allowed to do stuff for the mafia.
It would be an understatement to say I was terrified. How was I expected to get thrown into a mission with no experience what so ever?
Chase had led me into a large room that looked fairly familiar. I realized it was the same room I had ran into when I tried to escape the first time I was here.
