Kaitlyn POV:
The club broke out in screams and shouts as people scrambled over each other to get to the door.
I searched the mess of the crowd for Chase or anyone else but I found no one. More shots rang from inside the room.
I went to move toward the room until someone grabbed my hand, pulling me back. My chest bumped into the guard from the exit.
"You're not going anywhere sweetheart" he smiled. I looked down and saw his hand start to reach for the gun in his belt.
He brought out the gun but I quickly kicked it out of his hand. It skidded across the floor a few feet away from us.
The man wasted no time. He lunged at me, knocking us both to the ground. I landed hard on my back, temporarily getting winded.
I wedged my arm out from beneath me and punched the man straight in the face. A stiffening crack came from his nose as he toppled off of me.
I stood up and ran in the opposite direction, cradling my now aching hand. Why do people's faces have to be so damn hard? I took out my knife and gripped it tight as I raced through the crowd.
As I got towards the room, I caught a glimpse of Alyssa through the panicking mess of people. She was bleeding from one arm badly as she defensively dodged one of Vincent's men.
He swung a knife at her as she ducked out of the way. She clutched her bloody arm. The man must have nicked her before.
I darted to her and got behind the man. I jabbed my knife into the back of his leg. He cried out in pain as his leg buckled beneath him.
I pulled my knife out and reached to grab Alyssa's good arm. I pulled her away and towards the stairs.
That's when I saw Chase.
A gun fight had erupted between them and Vincent's men. Chase and Hayes fired shot after shot at the men.
Ryker was fighting two guys at once with no weapon. He pummeled them with alarming speed.
I saw Vincent standing behind the shelter of a wall. Blood soaked through his shirt on one side of his lower stomach. A gun shot wound I'm guessing.
He looked over the corner of the wall and shot. He turned back and leant heavily against the bricks. His side was affecting him.
Hayes saw us from where he was positioned. "Get to the lower level!" he shouted at us over the gunfire.
Alyssa and I dashed to the staircase and descended the stairs. One of the men that was guarding the downstairs exits started to fire at us.
We ducked behind the bar as bullets whizzed past me. Glass flew everywhere as the man shot the shelves of drinks behind us.
All of the sudden he stopped shooting. I risked a peek over the bar to see Ivy standing over the man's now unconscious body.
I rushed over to her. A puddle of blood was pooled at the man's chest. I looked back up at Ivy and realized she was holding a gun, blood speckled over her face.
"Did you....."
"Kill him? Yeah" she said out of breath. Her whole body was shaking and she looked like she was ready to faint.
I was speechless. Chase said that we wouldn't have to kill anyone. He said they would take care of Vincent and his men and all we had to do was distract them. Now Ivy has the death of a man on her conscience.
My attention was pulled elsewhere as I heard footsteps and yelling coming from above. Men came bounding down the steps, firing there guns behind them. They were bringing the fight down here.
I saw the three boys run downstairs after them. Hayes and Ryker shot at the men on the left as Chase took the men on the right.
Chase punched and kicked at them but he was outnumbered. He brought a blow to the one man's face but the other gave him a good kick to his stomach.
Chase fell to the gound. Out of instinct, I rushed towards him. I buried my kinfe in the one of man's back. He howled in pain and turned around to grab for me.
Chase recovered himself and knocked the man over the head before he got to me. I watched as the man fell to the floor unconscious.
I looked up at Chase and we held each other's stare for a moment. His hair was disheveled and he had that deadly gleam in his eyes. We were both breathing heavily, our chests huffing up and down.
"Chase look out" I shrieked as I saw the other man come up behind him. The man jumped on Chase, making them both crash to the ground.
He stradlled Chase, trapping him underneath him. He punched Chase hard across the face, making his mouth start to bleed.
I kicked at the man's side. He stood up off of Chase and I swung my hand back ready to punch him.
He caught my arm and in a flash, threw me across the room. My head smashed against the tile as I landed on the floor.
A splitting pain erupted across my skull, making my vision blurry. I unsteadily tried to sit up but I winced as a sharp pain came from my side.
My whole head was spinning as if I just spun around in circles for an hour. A sharp ringing hit my ears, making my sight go completely black.
I blinked my eyes in an attempt to make everything go back to normal. In a few seconds the ringing stopped and the dizziness cleared.
I looked around the room to see that the fighting had stopped. Men were littered all around the floor, either unconscious or dead.
"It's over" Ivy breathed out from across the room. I looked over to her. She was standing with the three boys, all of them accounted for.
I breathed out a sigh of relief. I felt like crying in the moment. That was too close of a call.
"Wait" Hayes said suddenly. "Where's Alyssa?"
A deep chuckle was heard from far off beside me. Vincent stepped out of the shadows of the club, a wicked smile on his face.
Alyssa wiggled in his grasp as he held a knife to her throat. The boys immediately raised their guns at Vincent. I guess they had gotten so caught up in the chaos that he had slipped away.
"Put the weapons down or I'll slit this girls throat in a heartbeat" he growled. Tears streamed down Alyssa's face as she looked pleadingly at the boys.
Hayes was the first one to move. He lowered his gun to the side. "On the floor" Vincent demanded.
Hayes tossed his gun to the floor and a few moments later, Chase and Ryker reluctantly did the same.
"Good" Vincent purred. "Now this is how it's going to work. You three will give me the money and I'll spare the girls life" he said.
"Why don't you let her go and I'll make sure to put flowers on your grave" Hayes hissed at him.
Vincent snickered. "A great offer but I'll have to refuse. You see, this goes my way or your precious little lady gets to go say hi to her ancestors in the afterlife."
He dug the tip of of his knife into Alyssa's neck drawing blood. She cried out as Ivy shouted at him to stop.
In the midst of the situation, I looked at Chase. His eyes moved from mine to Vincent and he gestured his head briefly.
That's when I realized it. Vincent was standing to the right of me and a bit in front. He doesn't see me.
I picked myself up with difficulty as my side flinched with pain.
I crept towards one of the bodies on the floor and pulled a gun out of their holster. I raised it with shaking hands and pointed it at the back of Vincent's head.
I pulled the trigger.
A moment later, the knife he was holding clashed to the floor as his arms went limp. He fell to the ground, his eyes open wide with a bullet hole in between them.
I killed him.

I actually might come back to this story. Idk tho, I always say that and then I don't post for months. We'll see.
