We walked towards the door and entered the building. I immediately froze as I got inside. Looking around at the cement floors and ceilings brang back bad memories.
"Come on" Chase said, pushing on my back and moving me forward.
We walked through the halls, passing by a couple people. Some nodded at Chase as they went by and others gave me the death glare.
I felt so uncomfortable here, like I didn't belong. We kept going until we stopped at one of the many rooms and entered it.
It was an armory. The big room was full of different variations of guns, knives and bombs. There were countless weapons lining each wall.
I stared in horror and shock at the room. Never had I ever seen so many deadly weapons in one place.
There were multiple people in the room, picking out different weapons. We walked over to where Hayes was.
Chase and him started picking out knives and guns. "What do you think? Will he talk if we torture him?" Hayes asked Chase.
"I don't know. Hopefully he won't be a little shit and just tell us" Chase said. He glanced over at me examining the wall of weapons.
I picked up one of the knives on the wall. I never thought that I would call a knife beautiful but this was an exception.
The knife was mesmerizing. The edge was sharp and gleamed in the light. The hilt was intricately designed and it felt comfortable in my hand.
"You like it?" Chase asked me. "Yeah" I said as I studied it. I pressed my hand to the tip of the knife. I flinched as it made a prick of blood spring to my finger.
"I'm ready" Hayes said.
"Let's get this show on the road" Chase said, gesturing for me to put the knife away. I reluctantly put it back and followed them out of the room.
We walked down the hall and stopped at another door. "Is she coming inside?" Hayes asked Chase.
"Yeah. I don't trust her out here by herself" he told him. "No, I can stay out here" I said quickly. I didn't want to be there when they did whatever to this guy.
"You're coming" Chase stated, grabbing my arm and bringing me in the room.
I was shocked at the scene inside. The room was identical to the one that I was first kept in. A chair was placed in the middle of the room where a man sat. His legs and arms were tied.
He already looked beat up and broken. Both of his eyes were swollen and purple. He had blood dripping out of his mouth and nose and his body was red and purple all over.
Chase and Hayes both walked up to the man. I stood to the side of the room.
Chase knelt before the man and took out his knife. "You've caused a lot of trouble to our Mafia" he said shaking his head.
"That was my intent" the man spat.
Hayes came up to him. "We'll give you one chance to tell us who you work for before we hurt you" he told him.
"You've already hurt me haven't you" the man snapped. He coughed as he said this, hacking furiously while spitting out blood.
It was horrifying to see this man in such pain and agony. I knew that he had done something wrong to the mafia so he deserved it but still, no one should be treated this way.
"Tell us who you work for" Chase growled.
"I won't tell you" the man said.
Chase took his knife and stabbed it down into his knee. The man howled in pain. I watched dumstrucked as Chase grabbed the knife and yanked it back out.
