CHAPTER 22: Findings

JULLIA'S POINT OF VIEW

Nandito na kami sa kung saan ang lugar na sinabi ni Kesia. I'm with her together with Min and Mark. Yana, Henry, and Kass will be our backup once everything went wrong. Henry was against us being here even though he has an argument with Kesia. Still, friends are friends. He still worried for her, for us.

"Kesia, there are four containers ahead, please look for the container that has scratches," we heard Kass on our earpiece.

"Copy," Kesia replied.

"Remember, don't separate yourself in the group," Henry reminds us.

We all nod even though he couldn't see us, "Affirmative!" we all said in unison.

Somehow, I can feel na medyo okay na si Henry at Kesia. Maybe they reconciled when they talked alone earlier. We couldn't but in since it's a talk between the leader and the vice leader. 

Even Yana, Henry's girlfriend gave them privacy.

In our position as a verdant, it is important to us which is the topic we should butt in and where we shouldn't. It is a matter of trust and respect. We trust our leaders and we respect their decision. That is the most common attitude you must possess when you are a member of verdant.

"Kesia, there it is." Tinuro ni Yana ang unang container na hindi kalayuan sa amin. "The first container," she added.

Nasa tagong parte kami kaya naman mas nagiging maingat kami. Malay ba namin kung ano ang nasa loob ng malalaking container na ito. Isa pa, we have to be careful because our life is on the line. Hindi madali ang ganitong klaseng trabaho ah, feeling ko isa akong pulis o militar dahil dito.

Hinarap naman kami ni Kesia at tumingin siya kay Min, "Min, take a look on the sorrounding. Tingnan mo kung may tao sa paligid o wala."

"Copy," sagot ni Min at agad na ang lakad at lumayo kaunti sa main.

Kaagad naman na nagkaroon ng hangin na pumulupot sa kaniya at naging isang turnado. Ang kaibahan lang ay kaya itong kontrolin ni Min. Also, nasa loob si Min ng turnado na ito at winawagayway naman ng hangin ang kaniyang buhok at damit.

Well, I'm quite surprised na hindi namin nakikita panty niya. Maybe she's avoiding it? The wind couldn't even lift her skirt so high.

"Yana, please stay alert. Once na may maramdaman si Min make sure to silence those people. Mark, stay with me, kahit alam ko na kaya mo ipagtanggol ang sarili mo you're still weak for those who had an ability like us,"

"Copy," sagot ni Mark at Yana ng sabay.

"Jullia, guard yourself," she said and I nod my head. 

Tinitigan ko si Kesia nang ipikit niya ang kaniyang mga mata. I know na pinapakiramdaman din niya ang buong container and she looked disappointed. I guess there's nothing inside. 

"The first container is empty," she said while tapping the earpiece para marinig ng kabilang linya.

"Copy that. Please proceed to the second container," we heard Henry replied. 

Patago pa rin kaming naglakad papunta sa ikalawang container. Unlike the first one, this container has a lot of scratches. Although ang scratches na meron ito ay mas malaki kaysa sa nauna. 

"Does it have a scratches?" We heard Kass on the line. 

"It has, however, it's different from the first one. Mas mahaba at mas malaki ang mga scratches na meron ang container na ito," Mark answered.
