Alex pov
"I'm sending men to replace your team, your men will rest and go back in a weeks time" I say to my men
"Yes sir" says the leader.
Jack and Mia open the door of my study room. I'm on the phone talking to the men that are protecting Mia's family, I look at Mia then Jack.
"What do you guys want ?" I ask after I finish my call. Jack looks at Mia
"I'll leave you two to talk then" Jack says as he smiles at Mia, Jack leaves us alone and silence fills the room again, she stands there looking everywhere but my face. Why can't she meet my eye ?
"What do you want?" I ask she looks at me startled.
"Iiiiii.... I have werewolf powers and I don't know how but it seem to occur on the day you marked me " she says as she looks at her fingers
I walk around from behind the desk and walk towards Mia she finally makes my eye. She looks so hopeful it tier me inside.
"Ha you think that will make a difference you will never be worthy to be my mate you just here so my pack can have a Luna" I say with no emotion. Her eyes start to water her breathing becomes heavy I was about to reach for her but she turns her back and walks away.
"Why ?" I say out in frustration as I push my hair back.
I finish sign the documents regarding the packs business. I stare out my window and on the moon. I take a deep breath in and look at the moon, why did you pick her ?
Out of the corner of my eyes I see the pack door open and i look at the door and out walks Mia she sits on the porch and looks at the moon too. Mia looks at her left into the forest almost like something is there I look closely and see a wolf emerge from the dark the wolf transforms and I see Trevor. She has a conversation with him does he know her I rush out of the house and towards Mia. I get closer to Mia and Trevor and I can hear their conversation.
"Are you happy Mia?.... if you want I can take you away from this place you will never have to see this place again, you can be with your family away from all of this " Trevor says as he looks at Mia. I stop in my tracks as my heart beats fast waiting for Mia's response .
"I can't... " Mia says her voice crackling it sounds like she about to cry.
"I can't... he said that my family will be in danger if I go back " she says
"He is lying he just don't want you to leave " Trevor says as he walks towards Mia.
"He don't want you to leave think about it" Trevor says as he bends down to Mia.
"Thats what he said " I say calmly, Trevor and Mia look in my direction
"Hello cuz" Trevor says with a smirk. I stare at Trevor as he just continues to smile at me
"Well then I guess I'll be leaving " he says looking at me.
"Bye Mia " he says and Mia looks at the floor. As I watch Trevor leave and then look at Mia tears fall from her face as she just looks down at the ground, both her fingers in fist she looks at the moon then down at me. Does she really think I would lie to her
"Do you think I'll do something like that ? I ask softly as she begins to walk away
"I don't know what to believe in anymore " she says not even turn to face me she closes the door behind her .
