"One more push up Mia....Come on! You can do it!!" Jack says as he sits on the mat, looking like a king his blonde hair pushed back no sweat on his face, while am here literally bathing in my own sweat and my hair pointing out in every direction possible.
I push my body up as my arms begin to shake, I slowly put my body down and turn on my back. I breathe in heavily as I try to soothe my lungs and heart. We been practicing for one and half weeks and slowly I'm getting better .
I close my eyes as I rest for awhile, I almost fall of to sleep when Jack stands above me.
"Go away Jack I want to sleep" I whined as I wave hand in the air trying to push him away. He kicks me playfully kicks me.
"Come on, we gonna go to town" he says still standing above me .
"What for ? " I ask as I sit up.
"To treat you of course, you have now passed human limits and are now entering werewolf level of training." He says
"Wait what I thought we were on the same level " I say as my eyes widen.'i just want to quit, am too tired'
"Come on get ready you smell" Jack says playfully. I hit him on his arm lightly and he acts like I broke it, as he holds his arm and whined . He so cute like a little child, I laugh causing him to laugh too.
We leave the training room. As we walk down the hallway we see Alex's mother who stops us in our tracks.
"Morning Luna " Jack's says with a smile. She looks at Jack and smiles
"Can you excuse us Jack I would like to talk to Mia" she says as she stares Jack down.
Jack looks at me
"Uhhh...... sure I'll meet you at the pack house " he says and walks away to room, I look at him as he disappears. I turn to find her staring at me, I smile at her but her smile fades before an unreadable cone replaces it.
"Mia darling I'm Luna Athena how was your morning?"she says as she holds my arms slowly tightening her grip.
'So she stops me to ask how my morning was' I smile
"Its going fine so far" I say
"Hhoow does a human feel...to play Luna " she says. She says it like how a predator plays with his prey. My smile fades and I raise my eyebrows.
"What is that suppose to mean ?" I say as I fold my arms causing her to remove her hand.
"Ooohh don't get me wrong Mia but just a human are you not?, I just want to know you and Alex are close!? .... I mean it's natural he marked you so you would be by his side " she say mockingly. I look at her shocked.
Timeskip(Mia's bedroom)
I freshen up and slip into my night gown as I look for something to wear. I can't help but think of the conversation I had with Alex's mother 'Luna Athena' . I roll my eyes at the thought as my mind replayed the conversation.
Flashback
Ooohh don't get me wrong Mia but just a human are you not?, I just want to know you and Alex are close!? .... I mean it's natural he marked you so you would be by his side " she say mockingly. I look at her shocked. I stand my ground as I look her directly in the eye.
I roll my fingers into fist as anger and pain builds up inside of me. I feel my hands heat up as I push my fingers harder into my palms. She looks at my hand then back at me. I walk pass her as I stare her down, there is no way I'll look down for her!
I walk down the hallway as I feel her staring at me. I want to look down, I want to cower, tears even threaten to escape but I won't let it happen,no way. I'm tired of been weak. I stare at my palms blood trials stain my palms as my nails burrowed into my skin.
End of flashback
I look down at my half healed palms. Her smile seems so empty and her eyes .... Her eyes they remind me of Alex forest green and cold. I throw on light blue high waist jeans, white tank top and a sandals like high heels. I look in the mirror 'not bad' it's a little casual and a little classy .
There is knock on my door, I walk over and open the door to reveal a dashing Jack
"Ready?" He asked raising a brow I nod as I walk into hallway locking the door behind me. We leave the pack house which is extremely busy, it's a Saturday and the hallway echo with children's laughter as run from each another. Families readying themselves for a picnic on the pack grounds .
I love weekends in the pack house everything so lively it reminds me of my family. I smile as the memory of my little sister sing in the shower, my brother playing his videogame downstairs and dad asleep on the couch with the paper in his hand and my mother trying to fix lunch on time and scream at us for not helping.
Jack opens the door of black BMW car. I sit inside thanking Jack as he walks over and gets into the drivers seat . We drive to the gate of the pack before Jack's suddenly stops the car, I hold the dashboard to steady myself.
"Whats wrong?" I ask Jack
"Shit! I forgot my wallet" he says as he rubs the back of his head.
