This can't be happening. How can I not feel my legs. There is no way I'm paralysed. It's impossible. Tiana felt overwhelmed with so many emotions. She couldn't comprehend what was happening to her. She screamed out loud, petrified about what had just happened to her. Steve woke up in a shock, surprised and relieved to see Tiana awake. He noticed the look of terror on her face. "Tiana, my love. What's wrong?" Steve asked with concern. She couldn't stop screaming, she didn't notice Steve beside her. He gently pressed his palms to her cheeks. "I'm right here, everything is going to be okay." Steve comforted her. It was only in that moment did Tiana notice Steve. "Steve, I'm scared." Tiana cried, the worry etched on her face. "What's wrong, sweetheart. Tell me what I can do to make you feel better." He said, hurt to see how scared she was. "Steve, I can't feel my legs." Tiana sobbed, her body trembling with spasms from crying so much. "Oh, Tiana. I'm so sorry." Steve spoke, unsure of how to comfort her in her fragile state. "Don't worry Tiana, I'm sure it's from the shock of what happened. It's probably temporary. I'm going to be here for you every step of the way. Okay. I'm not going anywhere." Steve reassured her, gently kissing the top of her forehead. She leaned towards him. "Promise?" She asked, as her head rested against his. "I promise." He said, whispering in her ear. Those words was all she needed to hear.

She then pulled him closer to her, wanting to be close as possible to him. "I missed you." He said, as he climbed in bed with her. He moved closer to her so that his head gently laid on her chest. "I missed you too."She said, as she laced her fingers through his hair. "I'm so sorry for not being able to protect you Tiana. It's my fault you're in this situation." Steve, admitted feeling guilty. Tiana became annoyed. 'Don't you dare say that! You protected me in every way that you could. Please don't don't think this is your fault okay." She yelled, as she leaned down and kissed his lips. 'Yes, mam." Steve grinned, even though Tiana just shouted at him. "I love you, Steve. So much!" She smiled at him, as she kissed him again. "I love you so much too." He reciprocated, kissing her back passionately. "Do you think I can go home now?" Tiana asked, hugging Steve. Steve turned towards her a 'You can't be serious' look. She laughed at his reaction. "I was kidding but the look on your face was priceless." She continued laughing at Steve. "You think that's funny? How about I give you something to laugh about. He said, in a mischievous tone. Tiana, knew that look very well. "Steve, please don't" Tiana said, instantly regretting making fun go him. "You should have thought of that before you started laughing." He said, as his snaked around her and started tickling her. Tiana was out breath from laughing so much. "Steve... Please...stop." She begged, laughing so hard that tears were falling down. "Okay, I'll stop." He said, sounding suspicious. Before Tiana could comprehend what was happening, Steve then starting attacking her with kisses. She sighed, happily. 'Now this is much better." She said, as he continued giving small kisses on her cheeks, lips, neck, arms. Any place his lips could find. Tiana was content in this moment, not wanting it to end.

As luck would have it, a small knock on the door caused the end of their little couple moment. Both Steve and Tiana sighed in disappointment. The doctor walked in, with a surprise look on his face."Wow, Miss Alvarez. You're awake. I didn't know you would be up so soon. We were not informed about your current condition. We still believed you were in a coma" The doctor said, clearly in shock. "I was in a coma?" Tiana asked, surprised by the doctors revelations. "Yes. We weren't sure when you would wake up. I am pleased to see you are awake and well." The doctor smiled.

" I wouldn't put it that way." Tiana said awkwardly. "What seems to be the problem?" The doctor asked. " It seems that my legs are paralysed. I can't move them at all." Tiana explained. "You woke up in this condition?" The doctor queried, making notes. "Yes. Doctor, how long will I be paralysed for? " Tiana asked, feeling anxious. "I'm afraid I can't say. It will take time. Looking at your records, the only injury you should have was from the bullet. Other than that you should be all good." The doctor explained. "Considering you just woke up from a traumatic event, you could have developed conversion disorder. This causes some parts of your body to become paralysed. It is not a permanent condition and it usually lasts for one or two days." The doctor explained the medical terms. "Oh, okay. As long it isn't permanent. I'm okay." Tiana breathed a sigh of relief.
