Chapter 13

Tiana woke up to find herself wrapped in Steve's arms. It was a wonderful feeling. She felt so safe and comforted. She didn't want to leave. She was home. She turned around to look at him. He was still fast asleep. She gently caressed his face, gently tracing his eyebrows, and his frown lines. All of the little things that made him Steve. His eyes started fluttering, she resumed her sleeping position. Pretending that she was still asleep, she heard Steve chuckling beside her. "I know you're awake.' He laughed as he gently turned her over to face him. Her eyes were still closed but she had a faint smile on her lips."You know I can tell when you're faking." He laughed, kissing her cheek. Her eyes opened immediately. "I knew that would get you to open your eyes."He smiled, lovingly. She had the urge to grab his face and kiss him fully, she wanted to show him how much she still loved him and wanted to take back all the bad things she said.

 As if reading her thoughts, Steve then suddenly pulled her closer to him and all she felt was his lips on hers. She smiled, happy that he made the first move. She kissed him back, fully, passionately as if her life depended on it. Tangling his hair with her fingers, she heard him groan as he somehow managed to kiss her even deeper, causing her to let out a moan. Unable to tear themselves apart from each other, the moment became even more heated as Steve pulled Tiana on top of him. He tucked some loose strands behind her ear before he cupped her face. "I love you so much Tiana," He said, meeting her eyes with a loving smile. "I love you too, Steve." She said eyes sparkling with adoration before she leaned down and kissed him deeply. They continued kissing each other with a fiery passion that didn't seem to burn out.

After devouring each other, they just laid in bed for a few moments longer, holding each other in their arms. "I missed you so much, Steve."Tiana sighed, as she clung to him. "I missed you so much too. You have no idea. It was torture for me not being with you. Literally, the hardest thing I had to do." Steve explained as he pulled Tiana closer to him. She turned to look at him, eyes tearing up. She didn't realize how difficult it must have been for him too. She was the one who broke up with him. He was in just as much pain as he was. Maybe even more. She stroked his cheek, lovingly. "I'm sorry for breaking up with you. I thought that was the best decision at the time. I felt so betrayed by you for lying to me. I didn't know what else to do." Tiana confessed, eyes becoming blurry from the tears. "Tiana, It's okay. I understand why you needed to break up with me. I was dishonest and shouldn't have lied to you. I promise I won't lie to you ever again." Steve responded as he wiped away her tears. She smiled at him as she then rested her head on his chest.

"So, it's morning now. Do you still want me to leave?" He grinned, knowing what her answer would be. "Of course not. Now I have company for the hike I'm going for later." She smiled, pecking his lips. "Hmm. I'm not in the mood for a hike. I would prefer staying all day in bed." He said mischievously, as he nuzzled her neck. "Nope. No excuses, Mr Rogers. You're either coming with me on that hike or you're sitting all alone in this room. It's your fault for coming here. Now you have to face the consequences." She laughed, as she wormed her way out of his arms. "I'm not letting you go just yet," Steve said, as he pulled her back to the warmth of his arms he kissed them and placed gentle kisses all over her face. Tiana laughed at the amount of affection she was getting. She enjoyed small moments like these. She couldn't have been happier at this moment.

"As much as I enjoy this. I need to go and get ready. So do you. Although, you don't have any other clothes." She said pensively. "I can just borrow your clothes then." He grinned, using his elbow to prop himself up."As if my clothes would fit you." Tiana said, rolling her eyes. "I could just borrow a t-shirt or something and just use the sweater on top of it." He winked, knowing she wouldn't have a comeback for that. "Okay. I guess that would work." She agreed.

Half an hour later the two of them were ready to head out. "You look beautiful." Steve complimented, them as he kissed her cheek. 'Thank you. You look quite handsome." She smiled, returning the gesture. Steve smiled widely. He was so happy to be with Tiana again. She is all that ever mattered to him. He glanced at her without her knowing and thought to himself, he was so lucky to have met such an incredible person like Tiana.
