Chapter 9

Tiana had been talking to Park Seo Joon for a few hours now and she still couldn't believe she was talking to him. This was the most amazing thing that has ever happened to her. She talked to him about all his dramas and movies and what she liked the most about them. She told him his acting just drew her and just found herself looking forward to all of his work. He became shy and thanked her humbly.

Steve sat next to her, holding her hand, gently grazing it. She leaned against him, sighing blissfully. Park Seo Joon was the nicest person she had met, besides the Avengers of course. This guy was another level. He spoke so eloquently and humbly, it was hard not to resist his charms. When she first became immersed in dramas, he caught her eye with the way he portrayed emotionally nuanced characters. She then became mesmerized by him and made sure she watched all of his performances.

After spending a few hours chatting, Park Seo Joon had to leave. Tiana couldn't hide her disappointment as Seo Joon got up to leave. Noticing Tiana's change in demeanour, Park Seo Joon knew one way to cheer her up. "What's your Instagram username? I'll DM you there. For obvious reasons, I can't give out my personal number." He said, handing her his phone. Her eyes lit up with happiness as she happily found her username. Handing over the phone back to Seo Joon, almost immediately she received a notification saying that she had received a message from Park Seo Joon. She let out a squeal of excitement as she flung herself at Steve, catching him by surprise. Park Seo Joon laughed at her reaction, enjoying how happy she became.

"It was lovely meeting you both. Perhaps we can meet up soon when my schedule clears up again. Thank you both for such a wonderful afternoon, despite the unfortunate circumstances that brought us together. Goodbye for now." He said before he left.

When he was gone, Steve was staring at Tiana with a huge grin on his face. "What's that look for?" She questioned, feeling nervous. He had that mischievous look on his face and had no idea what he was going to do. "I knew you were a fan of his but I never saw you fangirl this much before. It was cute." He smiled. Tiana knew he was a bit jealous. She had to admit, she was giving Park Seo Joon a lot of attention while he was there. She moved closer to Steve and gave him a quick kiss on his lips. He smiled, with a look of longing in his eyes. She looked back at him, eyes sparkling. There was no one else in the world that could make her feel the way Steve made her feel, not even Park Seo Joon. "I love you." She smiled, cupping his face. "I love you too." He smiled, leaning down to kiss her. Their lips met and they shared a deep passionate kiss that seemed to last forever. When they pulled apart, they were breathless. "Let's go." He smiled, as he took her hand. She nodded, as he guided her to the room.

Tiana woke up in the middle of the night, still wrapped in Steve's arms. She smiled happily, nothing could be more perfect than this. She enjoyed times like this when it was the two of them in their own world together. She placed a kiss on his forehead, he was still in a deep slumber. She realized something, something she hadn't thought of for a while. She realized she was late. It had just sunk in, that she was a month late. She was never this careless before. She and Steve were always safe. She began to panic. She couldn't be late. This couldn't be happening to her not now. She needed to take a test to be sure. She groaned in frustration. This was not part of the plan. There is no way she could be pregnant. The timing is not right. She knew she was absolutely nowhere near ready to become a mother. She could barely take care of herself, how can she take care of a baby. This was all happening all too fast. She wasn't even ready for marriage. She started crying, the slow falling tears, echoing her pain.

She then heard a knock on the door. "Tiana, is everything okay?" Steve asked, worriedly. Tiana quickly wiped away her tears and made sure she didn't sound like she had been crying."Yeah, of course. I'll be right out."She said a little over-enthusiastically. Once she walked out, her whole resolve crumbled when she looked into Steve's eyes. She broke down in his arms, bawling. "Steve, I think I might be pregnant." She said, tearfully as he held her close. "It's okay. We'll figure it out together. Don't worry, everything will be okay. I promise." he kissed the top of her head, soothingly. "Let's go back to bed. We can figure things out properly tomorrow. Let's rest." He said, softly, gently pressing his lips to hers. She loved how much he could calm her down instantly, that's what she loved the most about him. No matter what she was going through, he always knew how to comfort her.

She followed him back to bed, wrapping her arms around his waist as he pulled her closer to him. "I love you so much." He whispered to her, kissing the top of her head. "I love you so much too." She smiled, snuggling closer to him. Steve didn't fall asleep immediately the way Tiana did. He wanted to make sure that she did fall asleep. Usually, when something bothered her, it would keep her up all night. He hated seeing her in distress. When he knew she was sound asleep from her soft snores, it was only then done he allow himself to fall asleep. Just before he drifted off to sleep, What if Tiana is pregnant? Then what? He tried to shake off that thought. He didn't want to worry about that now. That was tomorrow's problem. Soon enough he drifted off to sleep as well.

The next morning, Tiana and Steve were in the bathroom waiting impatiently for the pregnancy test to reveal its surprise. Tiana and Steve held each other's hands tightly, anxiously waiting for the results. Even though they only had to wait for about two minutes, it was two agonizingly painful minutes. When it was time, they both held their breath, not ready for what could change their whole lives.

Tiana was the first to react. She breathed a sigh of relief as the test was revealed to be negative. Steve was somewhat a little disappointed. A part of him was not ready for him to be a father but the other part was excited and thrilled to become someone's dad. He then looked at Tiana, seeing how relieved she was. He knew she was terrified and thought she wasn't ready. He knew when the time was right, they would become amazing parents. "Are you okay?" He asked, wanting to make sure she really was fine with the results. "I am more than fine. I'm so thankful. I'm not ready to be a mother yet. There is still so much I need to do in my life before I can even think about having kids. Being a mother is a full-time job. I know I'm not ready for that kind of responsibility." She sighed, visibly relaxing.

She looked up at him, noticing he was not reacting the way she was. She expected him to be just as relieved as she was. " Steve, are you okay?" She asked, taking his hands. "To be honest, I was a little disappointed. I was a little excited to think that we were having a baby. I mean, we could have created our own little person. It all sounded pretty amazing." He grinned. Tiana smiled lovingly at Steve. It was good to know that he was enthusiastic about becoming a father. It honestly made the whole situation less stressful. She was worried that he would feel the same way she did about being pregnant. If she was pregnant then they would have been in a difficult predicament. "Thank you, Steve." She smiled, hugging him tightly. "What for?" He chuckled. "Just being you, the most wonderful, caring, passionate person I know. I'm so glad you felt different from the way I felt. I'm glad we can balance each other out." She explained, still keeping him close.

"Well, you're lucky that I've always wanted a family. What's even better is that one day I will be able to start a family with you. You are the one person that makes it even more incredible. I can't picture my life with anyone else. It's only you." He smiled, fondly. "For what it's worth, I think you would make an incredible mother, despite your anxiety. I know it's not the right time now but one day, I know you will be ready and you'll be the best mom. There is nothing you can't do. Remember, you won't be doing this alone. I will be right by your side no matter what. It's you and I together, forever." He said lovingly as he lifted her chin so she could look at him. "I love you, Tiana." He said, as his eyes sparkled with adoration. "I love you too, Steve." She said with just as much emotion, before reaching up to kiss him softly. "Thank you for always believing in me, that means so much to me. More than you know." She grinned, happily as she still clung on to him."Don't you worry, I will always believe in you. You will always have me." He smiled, looking at Tiana with so much love.
