Chapter 22

Eren was quite perplexed at his mornings this past week.

He woke up with a sleeping Mikasa lying on top of him or hugging him.

Since there wasn't any other bed,Eren was made to sleep beside Mikasa,both of them had no objections,so the decision prevailed.

When he woke up once in the middle of the night,he felt a foreign arm clinging to his arm,he turned his head to his left side,and saw a sleeping Mikasa,tightly clinging onto his arm.

She was sweating and breathing heavily.He had experienced her clinging to him before,but this was definitely new.

What was happening?

Wait,she might be experiencing those visions he had during sleep,uh what was it called again?He was having trouble remembering the word.

Eren tried to remember what the lady at the school had told him,

A Nightmare!
Yes!

So now the question was

What to do now?

His first thought was just to leave it as it is and just go back to sleep.

But something inside him told him not to do that.He had these nightmares often,and so he knew how horrifying they were.

So...
What should he do?

He thought that waking her up might work,so he decided to call her name and wake her up.

But wait,what was her name again?

He was sure that she told him her name,but he was having trouble remembering it.

Uh,it was something like m-mi-ka

Yeah!It was Mika

"Mika"he spoke,but failed in waking her up

"Mika"He spoke but a little louder and giving her a slight nudge,but to no avail.

She wasn't waking up and as it seemed her condition was definitely not improving

"MIKA!WAKE UP"He yelled waking.

And...it worked!

Mikasa started to stir and opened her eyes which had pure fear in them.

"Er-eren!y-you weren't there and the three men they-"she said but was cut off by her own fear and tears,as she started to sob.

Eren wasn't trained for this situation,so he didn't know what to do.He wasn't the best when it came to comforting someone,but since he had started this he had to end it too.

He spoke the first thing that came to his mind.

"Shh.It's alright I'll always be there"

Timeskip:A few weeks

Now,that Eren began living with the ackermanns,he also took part in helping them instead of just enjoying his life.

He helped Mikasa and his mom now and then,like in cleaning the house,bringing water,taking care of the animals and things like that.
