Chapter 20

Mikasa PoV

"Would you like to go on a date with me?"Uri asked me out of nowhere.

Seriously we had just been good friends for about a month or something I guess,and he already wants to date me.

I was still thinking about Eren,as if that wasn't enough,now Uri too.

But I need to get away from this.

"Uh-That's quite sudden,so..."I started nervously.

"Hm?"he said raising an eyebrow.

"I'll think about it"I said nervously.

"Oh?That's completely fine"He said smiling at me.

"Uh okay"I said and walked off.

Dammit why is this happening?

Timeskip:After school

I was walking down the road towards my house.
Eren had not came to any of the classes after lunch.I don't know where he was.

I am extremely worried about him.

I can't get the image of him crying out of my head

Before I realised I was already standing in front of my house.I turned my head back to take a look at Eren's house.I let out an exasperated sigh and went inside my house with the spare key I had.

I just wanted to go to my room and lie down on my bed,but I guess my fate had different plans.

As soon as I reached the stairs,I heard my mom's voice.

"Mikasa is that you?"she asked with a stiff voice

"Uh yeah"I said

"Come here"She said

"Uh okay"I said and went inside the living room.

My mom was sitting on the couch with a stern expression.

It was rare for my mom to be angry.

Did I do something?

I thought.

She motioned her hand telling me to take a seat.

I obliged and sat down.

After few seconds of awkward silence,my mom spoke up.

"How was School?"

"Uh..it was good"I lied

"Is that so?"she said raising an eyebrow.

"Ye-yeah"I said stuttering.

"Then Why was Eren crying when he came back?"she asked

My heart shattered into a hundred pieces on hearing that.

Did I make him that sad?

What have I done?

I thought.

"Huh?"I accidentally let out.

"Yes he was crying when he reached here?Why?Did something happen?"She spoke

"Uh.."

"Tell me the truth Mikasa?What happened?"she further spoke.

Likewise I told her what had happened over the past two months and how and why I had been ignoring her.

After all of that,her expression didn't seem pleasant at all.

She seemed shocked and at the same point disappointed.
