Saturday afternoon was the time I woke up drastically punching the alarm clock several times before I pull the plug. The morning seemed pretty normal to me with the traditional birds chirping, sun shining and smelling my delicious breakfast being brought by the master chef, Cal. I hop out and slip on my reading glasses preferably choosing to read a book on such a bright morning. Breakfast can wait an hour or two. Peering to my bookshelf, I dig my head into one of my Twilight books since I was feeling a little mysterious. "Honey breakfast!" My dear mother sings- more like yelling her ass off- from her heart's content. Skittering out of my warm comfy bed I pull my two curtains with both my arms looking out at the disgusting landscape of the side of my neighbour's house. Of course the couple are making out, no biggie which reminded me! I have a date with Sir Lancelot, also know as my boyfriend. Fixing my hair making it more presentable, I shut the door on my way downstairs. That's when all the good luck had faded away, dejectedly. "Fuck." I mutter under my breath tripping over the stairs face planting and hitting my ribs. Groaning, I rub my head which was where it was the most injured before I stood, and walked to the kitchen like absolutely nothing happened. One time in fourth grade, I was basically the punching bag so Melissa being kind as she was, had generously pushed me off the top of the stairs and yeah, I broke a bone! Totally, I think I broke 7 bones in my whole life; most occurred from Melissa. Greeting my mother who was sitting at the kitchen drinking coffee with a robe wrapped around her. "Hey what's wrong?" Cal appears with her spatula grasped in her hand while flipping some eggs on the pan with her other available hand placed on her hips. "I just fell off the top of the stairs, no biggie." I rub my head which was bothering me because I'd been having a headache just when I fallen. Fuck those hard wood floors. "Holy shit Case your face!" She looks utterly shocked looking me in the eye quickly checking my face. I didn't feel any bruises anywhere. "Your head has a huge bruise are you okay?" She turns the stove to off and comes towards me dabbing the painful bruise plastered on my forehead where my other injury was. Brutal. "Did you not hear my explanation I just said a little while ago?" I question looking shocked that she probably drifted off in her own mind. "Sorry, I'll get you a bandaid. It's starting to bleed now. You probably fell off those stairs pretty hard sis." She says sticking a thick bandaid on my head which felt sort of uncomfortable. At least I won't pass out most the time. Instead of breakfast, I snoop into the pantry, grabbing a granola bar and heading out the door with no jacket since the breeze wasn't there. Ratchet as they are, my 5 year old uggs were always my go to shoes. Alexa always teased me about it but they are my favourite shoes white girlish as I sound. I never tease her about her fashionable new trendy shoes she gets whenever she wants but hey let the girl be. To break away from the reality of life, I trot over to the park, our childhood heaven. Caley and I would dress up as pirates when we were little and pretend the equipment was a ship sailing on the rough waters; we had a weird imagination but doesn't every kid? The swings were in my opinion, heartily pleasing as I was a young. They made me feel free, letting out whatever emotions were stirring inside blow out while I swing high focusing on the sky giving me hope. Sitting, it probably made my butt numb but this was my heaven that I would've asked God for; a playground with awesome memories with pleasant people to make it with. I rest the side of my head against the chains just serenely shutting my eyes making the light shine onto my face making my eyelids red. I never even noticed how long I've been sitting here but I wouldn't want to leave here one bit so I texted Alex. The sound of pitter pattering against cement while I heard swears made me believe that it was Alexa. "Hey what's wrong? What's with the bandage?" She sits beside me looking of into the distance probably absorbing the landscape remembering good old times. I don't answer while I grab one chain of the swing and snooze while Lex's voice dies down..

"Haha hey stop that tickles!" I giggle trying my hardest to push my sister from tickling me. We got into a cat fight and ended up on the hard wood chips. Our neighbourhood park wasn't big but I called it my second home but the exception of Melissa showing here all the time; then it's not fun at all. She stole my glasses and still hasn't gave it back but why would she. "C'mon sis let's go to the blue bridge and play Captain! Did you bring your hat?" Caley replies with one of her winning smiles she uses when she wants to get a new Barbie doll for her collection. I hated Barbie dolls. Everybody thinks that Caley and I like the same things which we don't. In second grade which we are in currently, they buy us one big present which I don't really find fun but Caley makes use out of it. "Melissa is here!" Caley squeals running with her twinkle toes lighting up every time she hops. Melissa sneers in my direction but I pretend I don't see because Mommy and Daddy always taught me to ignore whatever made me sad. I run up to the blue bridge and play captain with my floppy hat sagging down while I force it to be up not down. "Yay! Haha Casey watch this!" Caley climbs up the beige looking slide and she slips, falling. I heard a crack while I jump off the bridge gasping running towards her. Weeping and crying Melissa shakes Caley but she wouldn't budge. It feels like someone snapped me in half and then a car running me over. "Ccccaaaaaallllllleeeeyyyyy!!!!!!!!!"

I startled waking up from that horrid nightmare looking straight into a pair of blue eyes. She looks perfectly normal just staring off into the distance glad I didn't talk in my sleep. It was just a dream. Phew! I mentally wipe my forehead relived. "Hey sorry guess I was just tired." I try to act cheerful to ease off on what she was thinking about looking out at the landscape. "I have to go Casey." She stands fixing her shirt wiping some tears that she hid and walked away saying something about texting each other later. Wonder what's up with her. I stand now rubbing my arm expeditiously the light breeze tickling my skin. I start my jointly home while I spot Alexa at her house shutting the door. I sigh trying to figure still what I did to bother her; I mean if I was talking in my sleep like a total creep, she would've told me honestly but what's wrong with her now? For a Saturday, I hunch over with the heavy load of textbooks on my back while I reach my doorknob to my room. Boring as it sounds, I grab my pencil doing my homework. Caley probably doesn't even know what she's been missing but like I said, she doesn't give a fuck at all. The morning passed, which brings the sun shining brightly smiling down at us giving us a warm welcome to another day. I grab my phone texting Pete.
"What's up?"
"Hey Casey we still up for today?"
"Yeah. Where and when?"
"Dairy Queen?"
"Hell ya!"
"Alright, well I have some company so I'll see you there at 3:30?"
"Okay bye."
"Take care... BABE! Haha! Don't worry about transportation. I'll pick you up :)"
I smile shutting my phone tossing it on my pillow. I check my watch which read 2:00. An hour and a half of when Pete will take me on our very first date. I worry too much. "Caley!" I screech at the top of my lungs until I hear footsteps coming closer and closer. Gasping for air she breaths, "What's wrong?" I pat my bed and give emphasis for her to sit. Luckily she agrees strolling over to my bed. "I'm going to Dairy Queen with Pete." She nods her head and suddenly her eyes light up with excitement. "Girlfriend you need an outfit do you?" She giggles and walks her way towards my closet before I could protest that my outfit looks fine for a day look. I hate new things. "Caley that's not why I called you up-" she cut me off with hollering types of shoes going with types of shirts. "Ugh Casey don't do this. You need to shine a little once in a while. Pete will not survive if you always wear those fandom clothes all the time." She says with her hand in the air frustrated that she can't find anything good. I love my my fandoms; can't live without them. "Here lets go to my room and actually find something good." She smiles talking my hand marching to her messy room, as usual. "Hey don't insult my fandoms." I growl mockingly shoving her into the wall which makes her whimper like a lost puppy. "I can't believe you're hurting me even if I got out of the hospital." Laughing she shoves me to the wall pinning me until I break down surrendering. Finally she picked out an outfit an hour later. Instead of wearing my Harry Potter sweater which I've agreed to wear for this casual date, she picked a pretty green army jacket, a black Pink Floyd V-neck shirt, knit scarf, along with jeans and the same combat boots she wore on the first day of school. "One final touch! You always need a flower crown!" Digging into her drawer of useless junk, she pulls a yellow flowered flower crown and places it on my round head. "Wow." Damn. The outfit really fitted me and plus it looked better than a white sweater. I didn't look over board, put pretty. She thought of letting my brown curly hair flow down my shoulders and hell it looked good instead of a braid or something. "Thanks Cales it looks great." I smile at her giving her a long embrace which made her suffocate a few minutes later. "I'll always be here for you jerkface, no matter what." I felt like I was on the verge of crying since she really used those words in a nice meaningful way totally blocking that she just called me a jerkface. Today is a happy day. She may have slept with guys, smoked drugs, drank, covered her collarbone with a tattoo but she was still my sister, my twin identical sister. I loved her to an infinite and beyond, not knowing what I'd do without her. Not just asking her for outfit ideas but for advice about what sports I should take, what book I should get, and who I should trust. I loved her so much. Just enjoying this pleasant moment with each other, I walk over to her bed just chatting until my phone buzzed. Pete.
