"You're.. Early." Carlin said with a small smile after opening the door. She never thought that Jungkook would be an early comer.
"Well.." He cleared his throat, leaning his shoulder on the door frame. "It's only 15 minutes, plus I didn't know your home is that close from mine."
"Oh, really?" She raised an eyebrow, and he just nodded silently. "Come in, then." She said then moved aside, allowing him to go in.
Jungkook entered the place, taking a few seconds to watch it, before he remembered the simple item that was in his hand. "Damn, I forgot.. Happy Birthday." He said while turning to her direction.
"Oh my God." Carlin widened her eyes while smiling. The idea of Jungkook bringing her a cute gift never even crossed her mind. "That's so sweet of you." She said while looking up at him again which caused her to chuckle when she noticed how he was nervously biting his lower lip.
He cleared his throat again, trying to put up a blank face after noticing that she was actually chuckling at how nervous he was. "I.. I don't know if you'll like it.. I don't usually do that."
"Do what?" She asked, even though she knew the answer. Speaking with a cute playboy was nothing that happened a lot with her.
"The gifts and stuff.. The last time I did that was when I was a school kid." He said calmly, trying to suppress his own feelings that were so close to appear on his face because of the hurtful memories he remembered.
Carlin just gave him a smile, not really understanding the change appeared on his face. Then, she untied the pink ribbon that was on top of the small box. "You like pink?"
"I don't. You do."
Here the player is, she thought when she looked at him again and saw the playful smile he had back again on his face. She finally opened the box, her eyes widening again when she saw the color of lipstick that was in there.
"Why are you just staring at that thing like this?" Jungkook asked in annoyance, causing her to giggle.
"It's just.. Beautiful." She said while looking at him, chuckling for the hundredth time at the cute facial expressions he was unawarely making. "Why did you choose that color?"
"I thought it would suit you. And.. I like red." He said a little bit mindlessly, according to a short fantasy he just had of her wearing that lipstick and kissing him. He shook his head in an attempt to get rid of his thoughts.
"I really love it, thank you." She said with a sweet smile then looked at the item in her hand again. "It's way too expensive though."
"Really?"
Carlin looked at him in surprise that he wasn't aware of what he was so insecure about. "You don't know how much it costs..?"
"I do.. But that's not expensive." He shook his head slowly. "What are you even talking about?"
