"Hey, how did it go?" Taehyung sighed sharply upon hearing Aria's innocent voice through the phone, which caused him to not answer her fast. "Tae?"
"It was fine." He sighed again. "Jackson's body was found, and the crime is solved. They said that he was the one who did it."
"Oh my god." Aria mumbled in shock, causing him to feel more guilt towards her. "This is so inhumane.. But who killed him though?"
"He killed himself." Taehyung answered, shutting his eyes close. "I need to see you."
Aria stayed quiet for a few seconds, making sure that his breathing was actually faster than it should and she wasn't imagining it. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah." He said quickly. "I just want to see you.. I need to talk to you."
"Alright then." She said softly, sort of understanding that he didn't want to talk through the phone. "Where?"
"I'll pick you up in 20 minutes. Will that be fine?"
"Yes, I'll just go change now." She answered, getting ready to get up from her bed. "See you, bye."
Taehyung lowered the phone from his ear, not knowing if what he would say to her was right or not.. More importantly, whether the timing was right or awful.
• • "Are you okay with that place?" Taehyung asked as they sat on some deckchairs in front of the beach.
Aria straightened her broken leg that was starting to get a little better. "Perfect." She smiled then turned to him. "What did you want to talk to me about?"
"I wanted to tell you about a certain day." He started, trying to find normal words that would describe it, or just any labels to contain the day. "The day of my sister's death."
Aria frowned confusedly, not expecting that whatsoever. "Okay.. ?" She said, still in confusion. "But why now?"
"I'm falling for you in a way I have never felt before, Aria.. And I know your feelings are getting deeper for me." He said seriously, yet chuckled unwillingly when he saw her blushing face, even if she still had a serious expression on her face. "I just want you to know about it. You deserve to know.. what happened in my past.. and what I've done."
Aria eyed him for a second before slowly nodding her head, making him nod his head back and start telling her about that day.
▶▶As Taehyung was about to get in his home, he heard screams of his sister along with sounds of slaps that caused her to cry harder. He immediately headed away from the front of the house to reach the back door so that he would be able to take an action against whoever was causing that pain to her.
