A Fresh Start

XVIII

Time skip: Friday night
Onyx' POV

  Turning off the shower I grab my towel and walk back into my room. I dry enough so I'm not dripping wet and toss my towel on the back of my desk chair. Yawning and stretching I sigh while starting to moisturize my body and putting on a silk nightgown and bonnet after braiding my hair back.

" I'm so sleepy"  I mumble to myself

  I had a long week. On Monday I started my job at the school's daycare. So, every day I was at school until the very last bell rang. My free periods were filled with my daycare shifts, and that meant I couldn't text Atalia back as I wanted to throughout the day. At first, it was a bit annoying but by the 3rd day, it was just what happened. I'd be too busy making bottles, changing diapers, making snacks, and reading books to focus on my phone. Don't get me wrong I completely adore it I love working in the daycare but I miss Tali a lot.
  I'm so attached. I've seen her in person one day this week because our schedules have clashed. She wanted to take me out tonight but I had plans already. I was willing to cancel them but she didn't want me to.

So I didn't, after school today I went to my nail appointment I got a Mani, Pedi, and full set there. After that, I had a wax appointment I got a full body wax and massage. When I was done being pampered my mom, sisters, and I went shopping. I bought a lot of stuff today from little essentials like lotion and hair stuff to things I didn't truly need like new purses, clothes, stuffies, toys, and shoes. I also got Atalia a few things they are in gift bags in my closet. After we brought our bags home we went out to eat, then watched a movie that was of course pg-13 for the girls but I enjoyed it as well.
  I showered as soon as I got home so now I'm finally checking my phone. I have 4 messages from Atalia and 1 missed phone call. I check her messages first and text back.

: I'm getting in the shower call me when you're settled I miss your face
: I'm outtttt 😁
: Ughhh mommy's getting impatient little one 🥺 I miss youuu

i'm home and i've showered i missed you too im gonna call you now 🥰

  I facetimed her right after. She answered as soon as it rang, smiling at me.

"Hiiii babygirl," she said propping her phone up on a pillow.

"Hiiii mama" I replied rolling onto my back.

"I missed you today and every other day this week. When can I see you princess..." she said

"Well technically you ca- "I started

"And not through a screen or me dropping off lunch I wanna hold my baby." she cut me off already expecting me to say something slick.

"I know it's night time but it's only 10:30... come see me? Spend the night?" I asked softly

"Of course my love I'm gonna pack a bag and be on the way. Would you like to stay on the phone?" she told me already getting up to turn on her light.

  I shook my head and blew her a kiss. She nodded back and blew me a kiss and then hung up. I looked up smiling. I miss my mommy I missed her so much I just wanted to be held and taken care of all night.
  Making my way downstairs I unlocked the door, and then went to the kitchen. I grabbed 4 water bottles, 2 apple juices, 2 vanilla milks, and 4 yogurts. I piled them in my nightgown and made my way back into my room. While I was out today I bought a mini-fridge so now I have to stock it. Just as I finished there was a knock on my door and then it opened slowly. As soon as I saw Atalia I stood up and rushed to her.

"Mommy I missed youuu," I said pushing my face into her chest

"I missed you too baby, gimme a kiss," she said puckering her lips

  I pecked her lips and then grabbed her arm and pulled her to my bed. I sat down on the edge in front of her because she was still standing. she handed me her bag and walked to close and lock my door. When she turned around she gestured to the bag and I assumed she meant to open it so I did. As I was opening the bag she took off her hoodie and sweats leaving her in her boxers and a sports bra. In the bag was one of my bottles, dim and bright, and some snacks. I smiled softly and looked up at her.

"I figured they'll be lonely at my house without me or you so..." she trailed off staring at me.

"Thank you I don't want them to be lonely mama," I said scooting close to her.

"You're welcome baby do you want mama to help you slip?" she asked rubbing my side.

I nodded my head and that's what she did.

She got my bottle out of her bag and something else out of the side pocket. She turned to leave my room heading for the kitchen I assume. I called out and pointed at my new mini-fridge. She smiled, shaking her head, and walked into my bathroom probably to clean the bottle nipple cause I hear the water cut on. She walks back out, kneels in front of my fridge, and opens it. She sets my paci that she had in the side pocket of the bag on top and filled my bottle with milk.
she got me a change of clothes and a pull-up from the bathroom. After setting everything up where she wanted and slightly tidying my room in the process she turned on wonder pets and waved me over with 1 finger.

Atalia undressed me and pulled my pull-up on, she slipped on a white cotton tank top, then some light green cotton booty shorts, and finally white knee-highs. After I was dressed I grabbed her hand and stood there looking at her. She smiles at me and picked me up I rested my head on her shoulder and smiled contently.
We lay and watched cartoons for a while until I was sleepy. Atalia switches my tv to music, and then she leans back grabs my bottle, my binky, and moved my stuffies behind me. I was pulled into her chest and felt the bottle nipple at my lips. Parting my lips and drinking I relaxed into her body listening to her heartbeat and her humming along to the music. After I was done with my bottle she slipped my paci between my lips and kissed my forehead.

"Goodnight sweet girl" she whispered.

"Goodnight mommy" I whispered back even quieter.
