A Fresh Start

Onyx's POV

  Our nap had turned into sleep and it was the next morning when I woke up. It was around 6 so I got up and went downstairs. When I got down there my mom was starting to get out things for breakfast.

"Mom I'll make breakfast you can go ahead and shower to get ready for work," I told her starting to take stuff out too.

"You sure? I can make a quick breakfast and still have time to get ready." She said

"Yea I'm sure," I said.

I decided I'd make pancakes and eggs with some sausage. Starting the oven then turning on the stove. I made the pancake batter and got extra ingredients to add while I'm cooking them. I made blueberry pancakes for mom and dad, chocolate chip for the triplets and J, then banana for me and Solana. I made two extra of each and a couple of plain ones cause I don't know what kind of pancakes Atalia likes. After I finished the pancakes I put them on a tray in the oven to keep warm then I started the sausages. About halfway through making the sausages I started on the eggs adding certain ingredients to different batches.

Sometimes cooking for my whole family is difficult cause we all like different things. So I have to make them differently.

"FOOD IS DONE!!" I yelled on my way up the stairs.

I walked into my room and sat on my bed.

"Tali? Wake up. Atalia! Get up." I try waking her up but she's not.

What would any smart little do when they want attention? Well, I'll show you. I'm going to jump on her. I stepped back a couple of feet then ran jumped and landed on her.

"AHH, what the fuck! Onyx? That is not how you wake people up." She said sitting up and pulling me with her.

"Eh you're right it's how to get people's attention," I said shrugging.

"Yeah, I see. What time is it tho?" She said rubbing her eyes.

"Um 6:30," I said looking at her.

"Onyx why are you waking me up at 6:30?" She asked staring back at me.

"Um, cause I made breakfast and it's eating time. Duhhhh" I said then poked her forehead.

"Well, I don't get up till 8 so goodnight." She said laying down and rolling over while I was still sitting on her.

"No! Get upppp." I said pouting even though she wasn't looking at me.

"Give me 5 years." She said.

"No!" I told her.

"4 months?" She asked.

"No again," I said still pouting.

"3 days." She said.

"Still nooo," I said whining at this point.

"2 hours?" She asked peaking an eye to look at me.

"Nope, no and more no's," I said crossing my arms.

"Damn how about 1 minute?"She said fully looking at me.

"Or you could just get up now before the food is either gone or cold," I said walking out the room.

  I heard her sigh and then stand up so I stopped in the middle of the hallway and turned around. She was standing there at my door stretching one arm and the other one over her face with her mouth wide open. she looks so cute. I just looked at her and then giggled. she stopped stretching and deadpanned me.

"what's so funny lil miss?" she said.

"nothing big miss," I said and turned around still giggling then walked downstairs with her close behind.

"Good morning family!" I said cheerfully.

a chorus of hey's and hi's directed to both me and Atalia was sounded. we all sat and ate breakfast talking among ourselves and just enjoying each other's company. after breakfast and everyone leaving for school, it was just me and Atalia left at the house. she helped me clean up the kitchen a little bit and straighten up the living room. then we went back to my room and laid on my bed.

"can we cuddle before I have to start getting ready for school tali?" I asked while already laying on her lap.

"of course mamas come here," she said opening up her arms.

she scooted down some and I made myself comfy in her arms. I laid my head on her chest and had one arm near my face and my other at the back of her neck playing with her hair. she had an arm wrapped around my waist and the other resting on my lower back/top of my butt.
we were still like that for a minute and then I felt her hand start to pat my butt a little and I kinda stiffened and then relaxed. I had forgotten about my pull-up and the fact that I might have used it a little bit.

"what's the matter Onyx?" she asked moving her hand from my butt to the top of my back.

"Ummm nothin," I said burying my face in her side.

"you sure?" she asked moving her hand back down but father this time to check my pull up.

"nooooo mm wet," I said pouting into her side.

"it's okay boo let's get up and shower then. okay?" she said standing.

"you shower wit me?" I asked.

"I don't know..." she said looking off to the side.

"Please, momma I don't wanna shower by myself!" I said quickly and very whiny.

"uhhhh" she looked at me stunned.

"I'm sorry I not mean to." I rushed.

"Hey, it's okay boo. you want me to be your momma?" she sat back down and looked at me.

"if it's okay with you. Will you be my momma?" I asked.

"of course babygirl. I wanted to ask but I didn't know if you were ready. Now let's go shower." she said hugging me.

  After our shower, we got ready for school and off we went to start our days. I'm so happy I have a mommy again.
