A Fresh Start

  Atalia dropped me off at school with a quick goodbye, have a good day and a kiss on the cheek. I walked to my first class and sat in the very back waiting for the class to start so I could leave as good as last night and this morning was I just wanna be back with my mommy. Class started and I just zoned out thinking and waiting for the bell to ring.

   The bell just rang so I packed my bag grabbed my homework from the teacher and walked out. Going to my locker I grabbed mine and Solanas lunch then made my up to my uncle's class.

"Hi, unc!"  I said walking to the back and sitting down waiting for the others.

"Hey O.," he said back looking up for a second then back to his papers.

  Getting bored waiting I decided to text Atalia and see how her morning has been.

Tali❤️✨: Awee it's okay baby I'm glad your morning had been good. Mine has been too but I'm tired

Tali❤️✨: Yes cuddling yes we can watch movies and of course mommy will play in your hair lovely. I gotta go now tho. I'll see you later boo 🥰

Babygirl 🌸🧸:
okay,  🥺 see you later.

  I lock my phone and reach for my lunch bag and when I look up all them ugly fuckers are staring at me.

"BOO the fuck y'all looking at?" I said looking right back.

  Then I hear

"You ugly. Duh." from Lana

"Yo dumb ass smiling like an idiot." From Zamir

"You dummy." From Mimi.

And "Who else we gon be looking at?" From the twins.

Nish and Trey's just stare at me like I'm stupid so I stare right back cause why the all looking at me.

"ANYYYYWHOOO what y'all want," I say while they're all making their way to their seats and sitting down.

They all look at each other then Trey speaks. "We wanna know why you was smiling at yo phone so hard you ignored our hellos when we walked in the room?"

I mentally roll my eyes and think if I wanna answer. Then decide it's best I do.

"If you really must know I was texting my girlfriend," I say then stuff a bite of food in my mouth.

"BITCHHHHH A GIRLFRIEND?!??" Mini yelled.

"When was you gon tell me?" Zamir said looking offended.

"I see youuu!" Nish and Armani said.

"On the what?" Armon said side-eyeing me.

"Since when?" Trey said.

"I been knew," Lana said smirking like she did something.

"Yes a girlfriend now leave me alone and let me eat damn," I said taking another bite of my food.

  I finish my food and play games on my phone while they eat too. We all pretty much finish at the same time and just talk about our plans for the week and what we did the other day. I tell them about me and Talia and then the bell rings so we all leave. I go to my next class. do some work and pack the rest away for at home. Then I just sit there waiting for the bell and listening to music. When the bell rings I get my bag and head to the office. I grab an application for the childcare room and take a seat to fill it out. Then I hand it to the lady at the front desk smile and leave. I walk to the front of the school and sit on the steps and text Atalia letting her know I'm ready.

"Still spacey I see. Cmon let's go I'm hungry." She yells out her window.

"Sorry I was thinking," I say getting in the car.

"It's okay lovely. Are you hungry?" She asks while pulling out of the parking lot.

"Not really. I'd like some fruit tho if you don't mind." I say starting to feel small. She has that effect on me.

"Of course I don't ill stop somewhere with fruit cups and then we'll go to your house unless you wanna go to mine," she said smiling at me quickly then looks back to the road.

"Your house please," I say now paying more attention to the outside than her.

"Okay baby." She says and then turns the music up.

  While I'm staring out the window I just start thinking about random things. Like what kind of fruit she'll get me or if she'll ask what kind I want. I really hope she chooses for me though. Also about how I just agreed to go to her house for the first time. On such short notice. What if she's a serial killer or psychopath of some sort and I just fell right into her trap. I need to stop. She would never plus everyone knows who I'm with and she's J's friend I don't think he'd ever hang with a crazy person. Anyways back to good thoughts. I wonder what her house looks like. Or smells like and how it's decorated. I think her room will probably be all black and white and boring. Unlike my room which is full of colors and my little stuff. Oh no I forgot. When we get to her house I won't have my paci. I have to tell her I wanna go home but what if she's offended I didn't want to go to her house. I'll be fine I'll just stay big the whole time. It won't be too hard.

"You wanna come in with me boo?" Atalia asks parking the car then looking at me.

"No thank you," I say smiling at her.

"Okay, I'll hurry back." She says kissing my check and hopping out leaving the keys in the car.

  I sit here and try to take myself all the way out of my headspace. Thinking about my homework and the application I put in. Also trying not to focus on how tired I am.

  Atalia comes back out with a bag of food and two store bags with who knows what in them and sets them in the back seat. Starts the car and then pulls off. About 5 minutes later we park and she grabs the bags and comes to my side and opens my door.

"Hey ya know I could have done that," I say getting out and closing my door.

"You could have but I did it for you so.," she says walking to her front door.

  I follow her not saying anything and walk in after she unlocks the door.
