Jay's POV

I toss my phone onto my bed with a sigh. His evil laughter still rung in my ears. I can't believe I actually just did this. I run my fingers through my dark hair, standing and going over to Lake's mini fridge. I take out a beer, chugging it. One drink couldn't hurt. I change my clothes into black slacks, a white button up shirt, and a black tux jacket. Grabbing my phone and keys, I hurry out to my car to head to my new club.

I owned a whole bunch of places now. Office buildings across the globe, companies working in stocks and shipping, bars and clubs, even a couple banks. All at my fingertips. Alonzo wasn't lying when he said I would have anything I wanted at my fingertips.

It was barely noon, but I needed a drink. Or two. I pull into the parking spot, walking into the bar without the bouncer even stopping me. News must have gone out. I'm their Boss now.

I sit down at the bar, nodding to the bartender. "Bourbon." I state, he nods and just hands me the whole bottle. I raise it playfully to show my thanks, before tipping it back and letting the liquid burn down my throat.

Music was loud, some people dancing, but mostly they were drinking and talking. A few drunk guys exited the club just as my phone started ringing. I just turned it off, not even glancing at it.

It couldn't be that important. I let myself get drunk, not even knowing how many drinks I had until I was on the dancefloor dancing and trying to avoid a few girls trying to gain my attention. I let myself had some much-needed fun until I went out to my car and just passed out in the driver's seat.

Dawn's POV

People were screaming. I was alone in an empty room as a bunch of teenagers tried to run. Gunshots were heard as I crouch down to the ground and curl under a table. I pull out my phone, shakily calling Jay as fear ran through my veins. Silver was whining beside me, even as I tried to shush her. I was sent to voicemail.

Tears choke me up as gasping sobs fall from my lips. I sent my guards out on a few errands the period before, and they wouldn't be back for hours to come. I had no protection. The door is burst open, guys racing in and grabbing me. I reign in my tears, not wanting to appear weak.

They lead me down the halls, dead bodies of students and teachers alike staining the floor with their red blood. A freshman darts out of the bathroom, her eyes widening in fear when she realizes who's in front of her. Within a second, one of the guys who is leading me somewhere, steps up and shoots her in the stomach.

High-pitched screams fall from her pink lips, her blue eyes flashing with pain as she falls to her knees. Her white shirt stained with blood, her hand turning red as she holds onto the gun wound. I flinch, tears streaking down my face as the guy holding me moves his hold to my throat. Choking me as I watch her die slowly.

"Stop playing with the gun." Another guy growls, shooting the girl in the head. Her screams fade, her life slipping from her sky-blue eyes. I gag at the stench of blood, tears flowing from my eyes freely. We keep going, making me step over her body.

I'm forced into the gym, landing into the leader's arms. He was about my age, tall, with eyes full of anger. He puts a gun to my head, and instead of crying like I thought I would, I burst into crazed laughter. The gym was silent, my laughter ringing out in the gym.

"Shut up, you bitch! Your little boyfriend better come and watch as I kill you! He killed my dad, and he's going to lose you!" He shouted in my ear. I just laughed even harder.

"You think I'm scared of you? Not even close! I've been in worse situations!" I laughed, my training catching up to me. The gym doors burst open, my guards racing in with guns. I use his moment of distraction against him.
