Jay's POV
I look down at her sleeping form, curled up against me as the plane begins its decent from the air. We were in my private jet, that I just acquired, and Dawn was absolutely surprised when I told her we owned it.
The stewardess walks out from the back, holding a few drinks that I asked for about ten minutes ago. "Here you go sir. Would you mind waking her up, so you can both get buckled?" She asks politely, keeping her gaze off me respectively but she gestured to Dawn practically on top of me. I chuckle, nodding.
"Of course. Thank you for the waters." I send her a small smile, before pressing a kiss to my Sunshine's head.
"Darling, you need to wake up. We need to get buckled." I softly wake her up, and in no time, she's sat beside me with a yawn as we get buckled up. Dawn groans, rubbing her eyes. We hit a small bit of turbulence. She grips my arm, nails digging into my flesh as her eyes widen in fear.
As soon as it came, it was over. She looked at me fearfully, but I smile and kiss her temple. "It's alright, Love. We're going to land in just a few more minutes." I gently take then hand that's still digging into me and she unclenches her fingers, so I can hold her hand. I soothingly rub my thumb across the back of her hand, letting her squeeze my hand as much as she needed.
The plane hits the tarmac with a jolt, slowly coming to a stop. One of the flight attendant's nods at me as she passes to open the door for us. I unbuckle myself as she hurriedly yanks it off her with shaky fingers. I pick her up, setting her on my lap. She wraps herself around me, shaking horribly. Rubbing her back, I whisper soothing words in her ear as I stand and walk out to the waiting car.
A few of my men that I had fly out to wait for us, go in to grab our luggage and put them in the trunk of the car for me. I set my sunshine down in the passenger seat, crouching down next to her. "Darling, are you okay? Do you need any anxiety meds before we continue?" I ask soothingly, she nods quickly. I give her a smile, kissing her forehead and reaching for her carryon bag. I search through it quickly, grabbing her meds and giving her one and a bottled water. She takes it quickly, doing her breathing exercises she was taught.
Silver bounds out of the plane and leaps into her lap, licking her face softly and laying over her to make Dawn feel safer. I nod at the men, smoothly getting into my car and driving away. Dawn soon calmed down, but she fell asleep once again. I gaze at her sleeping form softly, turning on some music as I began to drive towards the house I actually bought.
The dark sky was glittered with stars, a half moon high in the sky. Dawn didn't know this, but technically if she wanted to come back after this trip we could at a moments notice. I drive through the pretty city, past the festivals and amusement parks and towards our destination. As we got a tad bit further into the city, my GPS tells me to turn right down an unmarked road. Dirt slowly turned to sand as we went down the long road towards our vacation home.
I think about her reaction once we get there, wondering if she'd like it. I still remember how I came to buy the house. The lady on the phone said it was such a shame the owners were selling the beautiful house because they didn't want to hold onto the one house just to get money when they didn't even want the house.
I immediately got ahold of the owners and gave an offer. I should be hearing back about it within the week, but I knew they'd accept my offer. It was very generous.
I slowly pull into the driveway, jaw dropping at the beauty of the house. The pictures didn't do it justice, it's more open and much bigger than I thought. It was two stories, much smaller than I was used to, but bigger than I would have thought it would be. It was grand and majestic where it stood, the moonlight reflecting off the windows and making it look aglow.
I get out, grabbing our bags and running inside to set them in our bedroom. Then, I run out to wake up my love. I gaze at her soft features, slack with sleep. Afraid to wake her from her peaceful slumber, but I knew she'd want to look at this beautiful scene. Her face pale from moonlight, but her skin seems to be aglow. Her hair was somewhat curly today, and I'd love to see her beautiful brown eyes under this light.
With a final glance over her beautiful features, I have Silver jump out and I begin to wake my Sunshine.
