I open my eyes to see the others staring outside, we're were approaching Asgard."I thought it'd be nicer. I mean, not that it's not nice. It's just,
it's on fire." Bruce says, I start to laugh, the others turn and smile at me.Val pulls up a hologram, "Here, up here in the mountains. Heat signatures. People clustered together. Hela's coming for them."
"Okay, drop Y/N and I off at the palace and we'll draw her away." Thor nods at me.
"And get yourselves killed?" Val asks.
"The people trapped down there are all that matters. While we're
dealing with Hela, We need you two to help get everyone off Asgard." I nod."How the hell are we supposed to do that?" Bruce asks.
"We have a man on the ground." Thor nods.
Thor and I bring up a large blaster form the armory, also bringing something up for Val.
"Now the ship has guns." Thor smiles.
"I'll take it from here."
I hand her the bundle of fabric, "I found this in the armory." I smile.
Val immediately recognizes its significance. The ship raises, "Your majesty. Don't die. You too Y/N. You know what I mean." The Commodore flies away, leaving Thor and I on the balcony.
Our footsteps echo through the hall of the throne room. We stop as we see that a piece of the fresco from the ceiling was now broken on the floor, one portion was of Thor's face. Another section was of me.
We look up at the ceiling where our painting used to be, now showing the real painting which depicts Odin and Hela conquering the nine realms, with Hela's butchers all around them. Hela holds Mjolnir.
Thor looks over at me and we continue to walk towards the throne. Thor finds Gungnir, the kings spear and sits on the throne. I take my sword out and sit on the side next to him, waiting as he pounds the spear against the floor to get Hela's attention.
After a few minutes we see her walking closer to us, "Sister." Thor nods.
"You're still alive."
"I love what you've done with the place. Redecorating, I see." Thor nods.
"It seems our father's solution to every problem was to cover it up."
"Or to cast it out....He told you you were worthy. He said the same thing to me." Thor says.
"You see, you never knew him, not at his best. Odin and I drowned entire civilizations in blood and tears. Where do you think all this gold came from? And then one day he decided to become a benevolent king. To foster peace, to protect life. To have you."
"I understand why you're angry. And you are my sister, and technically have a claim to the throne. And believe me, I would love for someone else to rule. But it can't be you. You're just...the worst." Thor sighs.
Hela puts on her headdress. "Okay, get up. You're in my seat."
Thor and I stand, "You know, Father once told me that a wise king never seeks out war."
"But must always be ready for it." They lunge for each other.
I jump in and slash my sword at her, she blocks us both with two black daggers. I kick her back, making her fall into Thor. She turns, throwing a dagger at me. I duck and punch her, both Thor and I landing blows against her. She hits us both, chuckling, "To be honest, I expected more. Especially from the Goddess of War."
