Loki was on trial for almost a year.....but today a decision has been made.I haven't really visited Loki because I was still hurt. But I understand that wasn't the real Loki....someone was controlling him.
I stand beside Odin's throne, Frigga on the other side. Thor was off in battle, I had decided to stay.
"Loki." Frigga says.
"Hello, mother. Have I made you proud?" He smiles.
"Please, don't make this worse."
"Define worse." He smirks.
"Enough! I will speak to the prisoner alone." Frigga quickly leaves, I was frozen in my spot as Loki stared at me. When I turn to leave, Odin stops me, "If you want to stay...you can."
"Thank you." I bow my head.
"I really don't see what all the fuss is about." Loki shrugs.
"Do you not truly feel the gravity of your crimes? Wherever you go there is war, ruin and death."
"I went down to Midgard to rule the people of Earth as a benevolent god. Just like you." He nods.
"We are not gods. We are born, we live, we die. Just as humans do."
"Give or take 5000 years." Loki smirks.
"All this because Loki desires a throne."
Loki's voice raises, "It is my birthright."
"Your birthright was to die as a child. Cast out onto a frozen rock. If I had not taken you in you would not be here now to hate me."
"If I am for the axe, then for mercy's sake, just swing it. It's not that I don't love our little talks, it's just ... I don't love them." He smiles.
"Frigga and Y/N are the only reason you are still alive and you will never see them again. You will spend the rest of your days in the dungeons."
"And what of Thor? You'll make that witless oaf king while I rot in chains?" Loki asks.
"Thor must strife to undo the damage you have done. He will bring order to the nine realms and then, yes. He will be king."
Odin waves for the guards to take him. Loki looks at me sadly as he turns to leave. "I meant what I said....you will never see him."I open my mouth to argue but instead I nod, walking off.
I spend time alone with one of Loki's favorite books. I then walk down to the celebration, staying by myself as I watch the others drink and dance.
Instead of wearing my armor, I was wearing a silk green and gold gown, it had a high slit that went all the way up to my hip. The neckline and back was very revealing. My hair was curled like usual. But it reminded me of Loki...especially because I had gotten this for him.
I slip away from the party and walk down the dark halls, I slowly make my way down the stairs to the dungeons. I assumed the guards did not know I wasn't supposed to be here, they only nodded at me and passed me.
I slowly walk out of the shadows and into the light of Loki's cell. He was eating.
"Hello, Darling." He smiles and looks up. "This is the first time you've come and seen me." He stands. I couldn't speak as he walked closer. "You look....ravishing." He looks me up and down.
"I had this made for you." My voice comes out dry.
"Why have you come down here?"
"I.....needed to see you." I whisper.
"After all that I've done? Especially when I hurt you?"
"I know that wasn't really you. You still act cold and mean....but someone else was controlling you." I step forward and place my hand on the layer between us, it starts to shock my skin, but due to healing instantly, I didn't mind the pain. "I know my Loki is still here." I whisper.
"I've missed you." He smiles.
"I've missed you terribly." I frown, tears filling my eyes.
"I didn't mean it when I said I'd pick being a king over you." He whispers. "I had to say it."
"I know." I nod.
"Will you come back?"
"Of course." I step back. "I'll be back tomorrow." I turn to leave.
"Y/N." He stops me. "I do love you....forever." He nods.
There's my Loki. "I love you, my dear Loki." I smile, turning to walk off.
Instead of going to my Chambers, I go to Loki's.
I curl into his silk sheets and breathe in his scent.
I wish I could wake from this nightmare.
