Part 5

Next Morning,

Naira gets ready for her college. She sees her project file and remembers Kartik.

N(to herself): Why I felt so bad when he was shouting at me? He is noone to me...why am I even bothered about him?.....I tried to apologise to him but he started shouting at me only. Now I'll never ever met him or talk to him.

She went to the hall, ate her breakfast and went to her college.

On the other hand,

Kartik after getting ready decides to meet Naira. He goes to Keerti's room and,

Ke: What happened Kartik, u came to me early in the morning..... everything's fine na?

K: Ya! All ok....I....I just wanted to ask something.

Ke: What?

K: Can u pls tell me the name of Naira's college...I ...I just wanted to meet her.

Ke: Why?Has anything happened?

K: No nothing has happened just tell me the college's name....

Keerti felt that something was wrong but she let it go and told him the college's name.

Kartik went back to his room and called someone from his office.

K(on call): I will not be able to come on time today...I will come till afternoon....if there's anything important u just call me....ok?

P: All ok sir?

K: Ya! All ok.....just something personal.

P: Ok sir.

And he ended the call.

He left from his home and went to Naira's college. He saw Naira going into the college and called her name "Naira...Naira".
Naira didn't hear him and went ahead but Kartik thought that she ignored him.

K(in mind): I think she's way too much angry on me that's why she ignored me but no problem I am also Kartik Goenka I will make her not only talk to me but also forgive me.

He was not allowed to go inside as the lecture had already started. So he waited for Naira outside only.

As soon as the lecture finished Naira came outside her class and she was shocked to see Kartik standing there...first she thought that it was just her illusion but soon she realised that it was really him standing there. She was about to go and talk to him but suddenly she remembered what he told her yesterday. Her trance was broken when Kartik came near her and was about to say something but Naira didn't let him speak and told him that:

N: Listen I don't want to talk to u....now I'll never show u my face so it's better that u also don't come to meet me.

Kartik felt bad listening those words...he knew that he hurt her feelings a lot but he was determined to talk to her.
She was about to go but Kartik held her hand and turned her towards him.

K: I'm sorry Naira.

Naira was shocked to listen that she didn't expect him to apologise to her for being rude with her.

K : I know ur angry but I am really really sorry.i did not mean to hurt u, I didn't know that it was u, if I would have know it was u then I would have definately not spoken to u that way.

Naira was numb hearing this from him coz she thought that he was just a rude and arrogant officer.
Then Kartik came closer to her held one of his ears made a cute pout looking into her eyes.

Naira then came to her senses she took his other hand and placed it on his second ear.
He just cutely said "Sorry" to Naira.
And Naira could not resist laughing after seeing his cute side.

K(looking at Naira + thinking) : U look so cute while laughing Naira...I wish I could see u laughing like this all the time.

K(to naira): That means u forgave me?

N(smiling): Yes!

A smile appeared on his face too listening to her.

K: So do u have any other classes?

N: no

K: Good! Now we can discuss about ur project.

N(excited): Really!....that means u will help me.

K(smiling): Of course, I will help u.

Naira happily hugged him, shocking Kartik. But when she realised what she just did, she broke the hug and looked down in embarrassment.

N(embarrased+ looking down): Sorry!

Kartik just smilled seeing her

K(forwarding his hand for a handshake): FRIENDS??
This was like another shock for Naira......Kartik asking her for friendship...

N(in mind): What has happened to him today? Why is he in such a good mood today? She is giving me shocks one after the other.

Kartik waved his hand in front of her and called her out "Naira!!....where r u lost?"
Naira came out of her thoughts and shaked hand with him and said "FRIENDS!!!"
They smiled looking at each other.

After that Kartik asked her to sit in his car. He started the car and drove towards her house. They discussing Naira's project while going to her home. Once Naira told him everything about it, he told her that they will start working on it from tomorrow and she can come to his office tomorrow after her college to which she happily agreed.
Soon ther reached her home and they bid bye to each other.

At CBI headquarters,

He comes and directly goes to his cabin to do his work but his mind was somewhere else. It was filled with unanswered questions about his unknown feelings about Naira.

K(in mind): Why I felt so bad when I saw her crying? Why did I go behind her and say sorry? I never did that before for anyone else. My work was always my first priority...I never ever took a day off for even any important family function....then why did I skip my work today just to meet and apologise to her? Why do I feel so complete and happy with she's happy and so broken and sad when she has those years in her eyes??

His chain of thoughts were broken when someone knocked on his door.
It was one of his juniors whom had come to discuss something with him.

Soon he got busy with his work but could not divert his mind completely from Naira.
