Part 18

Kartik reached Naira's house but she was nowhere....he even tried calling her but her phone was in her room itself....Kartik was now hell worried for her...

K: This is all my fault...I knew she was at risk...I should not have left her alone....it's all because of me...she is suffering just because of me.

He was crying hard....he didn't know where Shankar has taken Naira...he didn't know if she was safe or not......he could not think of anything he was just crying and praying for the wellbeing of his love.

Suddenly his phone rang...the screen flashed unknown number....he quickly picked up the call.

As soon as he picked up the call his anger rose till its peak as he heard Shankar laughing like a maniac on the other end....he shouted in his anger filled voice...

K(shouting in anger): How dare u....how dare u try to harm her...u bloody psychopath....I will kill u...

S: cool down Mr. Officer.....this is just a reward...a medal for ur sincerity and honesty....for arresting me and putting me behind the bars.... u'll regret messing with me to the core. Check my message, it's a gift for u.

K checks the message and gets shocked seeing the picture of Naira lying unconsious on a chair and tied with ropes....her arms had red marks and there was blood oozing out from the cut on her forehead also the tear strains were visible on her face.....He felt like someone stabbed his heart when he saw his love...his life in such a miserable state, fresh tears made their way to his eyes. He could not see her in this state, he couldn't stop blaming himself for her such state.

K on phone: Shankar, u want to take revenge from me,right? I'll come to u just leave her....she has done nothing...why r u harming her?

S: cuz giving her pain will kill u alive....thank u so much Mr. Officer for coming so close to her and making my revenge even more satisfying...now I'll torture her and kill her...this will give u more pain than any other wound and my revenge will be completed...

He laughs evilly and cuts the call.

After that he goes from there to bring weapons to kill Naira leaving an unconscious Naira tied to to the chair.

After 20 to 25 mins, he comes back and sees that Naira has gained consiousness.

N(scared): who r u? Why am I here?

S: I m Shankar....ur friend's friend.... didn'the tell u about me?

Naira remebers what Kartik told her that Shankar was after her to take revenge from Kartik and she also remembers how he came in her room throughthe window,hit her head with an iron rod, kidnapped her and tortured her due to which she fell unconsious....She breakes into a cold sweat as soon as she remembers it.

N(crying+ scared): pls...pls leave me....pls let me go...

S: how can I let u go dear....if I let u go then myrevenge will stay incomplete and (a lil louder and angry) I can't let that happen

And he picks up a knife in anger and moves towards her while she was crying hard....he took her one hand and cut her wrist.....blood was oozing out from her fresh wound...

S: Don't worry dear....it's just a small cut... u'll not die.... I'll not let u for so easily.

N(crying): u psycho....Kartik will not spare u....he will catch u for sure...

S(laughing): oh really!! So much trust.....then let's wait and watch if he comes to save u from me....

He takes a rope and starts coming towards while Naira was screaming and shouting while crying.....all she could do was to shout for help and pray to god to save her...

Shankar ties the rope around her neck and started chocking, he opened the other ropes which tied her to the chair....she tried to escape by hitting him but he was too strong for her and also her multiple injuries didn't allow her to come out of his hold.....Shankar hanged her to the ceiling fan with the rope around her neck, chocking her....

Suddenly they heard the sound of footsteps...Shankar went towards the door leaving Naira behind who struggling hard to breathe....just after a few seconds he saw the door opening with a thud and he became shocked to see Kartik standing there with his team of officers at the doorstep with guns in their hand, ready to shoot him....

The moment Kartik picked up Shankar's phone he messaged his officers to trace the phone call and when he cut the call after a few minutes he received a message from his team, it was his phone's location and Kartik immediately ran to that place.

Seeing Kartik and his team Shankar immediately took out the gun from his backpocket and pointed towards him....he asked them to back off otherwise he'll shoot but of no use so seeing none of them backing off, he got angry and fired the bullet......
