Part 42

Kartik's POV

"Shankar??" He said in an enquiring tone and I shooter my head up to gaze at him with a perplexed look covering my face.

Seeing my expressions, he passed on a vile smirk to me. I was trying to make out what was going in his mind by scanning each and every expression on his face, until he let out a devilish chuckle and I glared at him

But.....

That is when I noticed his left hand, it didn't have a mole, and I remember that I noticed it when I was trying to find out Shankar (refer to Part 13).....this means he wasn't Shankar, then who was he??

"Did u really think Shankar has come back to you for revenge, even after dying??" He mocked at me.

"U guys acted so stupid!! (He cackled wickedly) u found out everything about Shankar except for HIS TWIN BROTHER, SHIV!!!" He confessed.

I was beyond shocked after coming across this fact.

I just couldn't react already the fact of being betrayed by one of my best officers and Naira being kidnapped was making me go mad and now this made me go completely crazy.

Just then, he took a gun and pointed it at me, I closed my eyes and let out a deep sigh.

And THUD!! came the sound of the body colliding with the floor as the gunshot was heard.

Leap of 1 month....

Naira is seen getting ready in her room with the help of her mom. She is wearing a beautiful red lehenga with golden embroidery, adorned with heavy gold jewelry, her hair tied in a neat bun, golden eyeshadow, red lips and pink cheeks for her special day. She simply looks royal and a perfect bride that every groom would wish to have.

Once she gets ready, her brother and father enter the room to see her all decked up to leave along with her prince charming, thinking this they become emotional and the four have an emotional moment with each other before they have to bid bye to their princess.

On the other hand,

Kartik is seen getting ready in his room, excited and eager to leave for the venue and catch a glimpse of the person his eyes and heart are eagerly anticipating for. He wears a golden sherwani, matching her lehenga, his hair gelled back perfectly and a sehra covering his face.

The Goenkas are all set to leave with the baraat for the venue. Everyone is super happy, especially our love birds, and why not it was the day, they all had been eagerly waiting for and had come after a lot of difficulties in their lives but now finally everything was falling in place.
