Part 34

Leap of a few days,

Naira was told about her family in the hospital itself and was taken back home. Kartik himself took care of each and everything regarding Naira's health and her check-ups, but he never told her that they loved each other before her memory loss and were engaged as he didn't want her to take any stress. So, he told her that they were just best friends.

In the beginning, Naira didn't talk to anyone as everything felt new to her but now she has started feeling comfortable with everyone, especially with Kartik.....

Both the families were really happy to see that despite the memory loss, Naira considers Kartik one of the most important person in her life. This also gave Kartik strength and a hope that he didn't really lose his love and that their hearts are connected to each other and will always be no matter what!!

Naira found a true friend in Kartik and felt an unknown pull towards him from the beginning yet they didn't talk much as Kartik never wanted her to feel uncomfortable or take any stress, so he maintained some distance from her, until Naira herself came to him and that is how they became friends and Kartik told her that he was her best friend.

Naira herself was confused that why she feels so comfortable and good when Kartik is with her. Though she was confused, her heart continued to give her signals regarding her love for Kartik.

One day,

Kartik came to SS in the morning, only to meet Naira and make sure that she was fine, the whole family smiled seeing him there, it had been his morning routine for the past 2 weeks, he would always come to meet her in the morning before leaving for his work, he also never ever missed even a single checkup of her, he was always there for her and this always made Naira and her whole family realize that how much she means to him.

He went to her room and saw her looking at her diary while thinking something deeply. He went near her and called her but of no use, he then shook her and that made her come out of her thoughts and realize his presence.

N: Arrey! Tim kab aaye?

K: Bas abhi abhi!! Lekin tum kahan khoi Hui thi, haan?

N: Kuch nahi!!!

K: Naira u consider me as ur friend na, then pls tell me!!

N: Voh....

She shows him her diary...

It was the drawing of a Mendhak, Kartik got shocked as well as teary-eyed seeing it as he remembered how she used to tease him by calling him a Mendhak before her memory loss.

K(controlling himself): umm...yeh tune banaya hai kya?

N: Haan! Pata nahi kya his mujhe air main kyun yeh Mendhak hi banaya, main has yahi such rahi thi....

K smiles listening to her but does not tell her anything

K: Arrey tum yeh choddo aur pehle yeh batao ki kya tum aaj mere saath Bashar chalogi?

N: Kahan?

K: Arrey! Aise hi bas bahar khaana khane....

N: ok!

K: good! Toy aaj 7 baje ready rehna.... Bye!!

N: bye!!

They both smile at each other and Kartik leaves for his office.

In Kartik's Cabin

'Rahul!! What about Shankar? I told u to find about him, right??' Kartik said looking at him.

'Yes sir! I found about him and I even confirmed from the doctor, he is dead sir! I think the manager was lying.' Rahul said, showing him Shankar's autopsy report.

Though it was a proof of his death that he couldn't deny and even he didn't want to deny it as somewhere even Kartik felt that it was not Shankar who did all this, also if it was Shankar he could have easily killed Naira, but he didn't. He was having a feeling that this is something really big.
