"In order to stop the secret destroying the world, it's simple. Really." I say. "You're going to have to put the secret back in it's place and give it enough time for the energy to sustain the earth. Some at least."

Jeremy puffs.

"Now, can you please just let us go?" I ask Jeremy. "I did what I was asked to do."

"Alright." He says, frustrated.

He lets my father and I go out of the chains.

"Don't anyone try anything while I'm gone giving the secret time to sustain the earth." Jeremy snaps.

"Okay." My father and I say in response.

We are freed and we run out of the building.

The fire that has been falling from the sky has created many fires and the earthquakes have made it look like the ground is unsteady. Holes everywhere that one could fall in.

As Jeremy leaves the building and heads to bring the energy back to its place, my father and I seek safe shelter amongst the disaster.

We run in a building that is so run down from the disaster that we don't even know what it was before.

"It should be a few minutes before the falling fire and earthquake stops." I tell dad.

We hide under a desk and begin to wait for Jeremy to finally do something right for once.

"How did it happen?" My father says with tears down his face.

"How did what happen?" I ask.

"How did you kill your mother?" He asks.

I take a deep breath.

"Someone in a disguise was shooting after me for the secret and I shot back and aimed right. It happened to be mom. She said that she only married you for the secret. She thought grandpa would pass it on to you but he passed it on to me." I explain.

"God." My father says, wiping a tear away. "I see, I guess."

"What is this secret anyway?" My father asks.

"A secret so dangerous that if told, it can bring this destruction but it can also give someone the ability to rule the world." I say.

"How?" He asks.

"I would explain, but technically I'm not supposed to." I respond. "If I can protect the secret from Jeremy after he puts it back, then maybe I can save the world and keep him away from it."

"Oh." He says, puzzled.

"Yeah, I know. There's a lot you wouldn't understand." I say. "But the less you know, the better."

My father nods in agreement.

"Thanks for understanding." I say.

"Yeah." He says with a slight frustration in his voice.

Suddenly, the earthquake stops.

"Oh my gosh." I say with a smile.

"Did he do it?" Dad asks.

I run outside and see no fire falling from the sky.

"He did it!" I say happily as I hug dad. "This also means that everyone who was basically a mindless zombie should be normal."

"Really?" My dad says, "I should go see if our neighbors are okay!"

"Alright then." I say. "I'm gonna go see if the last friend I have is okay."

"And who's that?" My dad asks.

"Patrick." I say as I walk away.

As I walk to find Patrick, I notice something still suspended in air over a light shining from a crack in the earth. It's a dead body.

"Oh no. I totally forgot." I whisper to myself as I stop in my tracks.

I forgot that this is a sign.

A sign showing that the effects of the secret are irreversible and...

...everyone...

...will...

...die.
