"Grandpa?!," I say in disbelief.

"It's me," he says through a smile.

"But how?," I ask, "You died in front of me years ago."

"No, I didn't," he says, "it was all an illusion. Now, remind me of what the secret was so I can see if you remembered it well. This secret is very important and you cannot distort it."

"Alright," I say hesitantly, "Um..."

I now realize something is fishy about this. Why would he fake his death to tell me a secret I can only pass when I die if he could only do the same? And why would he think I would distort such a secret? How could he need a refreshed memory? This is insane.

"No," I say as I slyly press the emergency button on the side of my hospital bed, "because you are not my grandfather."

"Come on, Zane. Why would I lie to you?," he says.

"Because you are not my grandfather and you are just another hunter for the secret," I say.

Nurses and doctors come flying in as I begin to panic.

"Help me!," I yell, "this man is trying to kidnap me!"

Before he can defend himself, he runs and jumps out the window, shattering the glass that falls everywhere.

The nurses and doctors look at me in shock. Later that night, they finally let me out of the hospital and the government puts me under witness protection so guards come with me home to stand outside all entrances to stand watch.

"Hello," I say after the dialing the phone.

"Hey, Zane. How are you feeling?," Nelly asks.

"Actually good. They let me out of the hospital and now I'm under witness protection," I say.

"It's good to know that you are safe," she says, "we really need to do something sometime. This is getting ridiculous. What kind of friends are we?"

We both laugh and on the inside, I am worried....I need to make my move with her already. Before it's too late. Suddenly, I heard an explosion on Nelly's end of the phone.

"Get the hell out of here!," I hear Nelly yell at someone.

"Nelly?!," I yell, "Are you alright?!"

"Help!!!," I hear her yell.

"Oh no," I say.
