To exchange blows is to take part in a violent struggle involving the exchange of physical blows or the use of weapons. Exchanging blows can also be compared to as a fight. And the exchanging of blows that is about to occur between Henry and I may make a situation that one or none of us could walk out of.
Henry suddenly stops convulsing, and he starts laughing.
"You bought that!" Henry says, laughing.
"What was that for?!" I yell. "Get up!"
I smack Henry and try to contain my emotions as Henry finally stops chuckling.
"Listen up." I sigh. "I hate to say this but in order to find Nelly, we're going to have to work together."
Henry huffs and rolls his eyes.
"Okay then." I say with a sharper tone of voice. "The other option is to go our separate ways and although that may take longer, I'm COMPLETELY fine with it."
"So am I." Henry spouts.
Without even saying anything else, not even bye, we part.
Thank god!
I begin to search for Nelly and realize I have no idea who it was that kidnapped her or why and...which direction they went. So...I go sneak behind a table to watch Henry on his search for Nelly.
Henry looks around, not seeming to look anywhere in particular, as I realize he's not even searching for her. He looks behind him before pressing something on the wall and the wall slides open.
And what I see behind this wall blows my mind.
"Nelly?" I whisper to myself.
He has her tied up!
It blows my mind so much that I take a knife from the table in front of me and throw it at Henry.
Henry immediately catches it from behind and he turns around.
"You need to leave. Nelly doesn't want you and I was only doing her a favor." Henry insists. "We can do this the easy way...or we can do this the hard way. You either leave or I'm taking care of you myself."
I don't respond, nor even defend myself because I know that what Henry is saying isn't true.
"Alright then." Henry says. "I guess you're choosing the hard way."
In the blink of an eye, Henry quickly throws the knife at me and I freeze.
The knife comes spiraling, seemingly suspended in air, as it comes for me.
