Chapter 6: Baste Prison

Tsubaki's pov

I was still in shock and heard Hawk get angry enough to stand in front of Elizabeth to protect her from Golgius, who just kicked him and sent him flying. I grew angry at the fact that I couldn't move, which meant I couldn't protect the Princess or The Captain from Golgius. "Damnit," I coughed, leaning on the bed for support. I could see the concern in Elizabeth's eyes for both Meliodas and I, but I didn't want to seem distressed.

"Now then," Golgius grabbed the sheets, throwing them off of Captain and grabbed his sword. "You bastard! Get your filthy hands off the Captain's sword." I tried to move but I couldn't feel my legs, damn that Doctor Dana. "At this point, you wouldn't need this anymore. So I'm taking it with me." I tried to move my arm but couldn't feel it, meaning my body must have become numb. "Stop! What are you doing to Sir Meliodas?" Elizabeth shouted, as Golgius continued to grab the sword from him. He managed to get it free and I felt a piece of my heart break, for as long as I have known Meliodas he has always had that sword. I was the only one who knew Meliodas from childhood and even then I didn't touch his sword, knowing that there was some kind of history with it.

Flashback.....

I wandered around the Castle looking for Uncle Hendrickson, when I turned the corner, instead of finding him, I found Meliodas. "Meliodas!!!!!!" He turned his head and stopped walking, giving me a bright smile and bent down as I ran to him. "Hey there Tsu, what's up?" He gave me a big smile and that's when I noticed the green sheath sticking out of his back. "What's that?" I pointed to his sword, "Oh this old thing? It's my sword. I've had for a long time." I reached out to touch it, but was immediately stopped when Meliodas stood up. "Don't even think about it. I'm sorry Tsu, but you can't touch the sword." I looked up at him to see this look on his face that I've never seen before, it scared me, to be honest, but I kept my ground. I didn't want to seem like a fraidy cat in front of him. "I'm sorry," I looked down at the ground, Meliodas ruffled my hair. "It's alright, come on. I got something to show you." He took my small six-year-old hand and I looked up at him, "You'll really like it. I promise you." He smiled and I smiled back.

Flashback over...

A tear slipped down my face as every corner in my body started to hurt, before Golgius could get away with the sword Meliodas shot up from the bed which shocked everyone. "Impossible, nobody can survive that much poison!" Dana shouted, "Heh, you really shouldn't underestimate the Captain of the Eight Deadly sins, asshole." I coughed out, as Elizabeth moved back. "Too stubborn to die, I see." Golguis stated, as I tried to push myself up. "Even if I die, this sword is the one thing I'll never let go of. It's the only thing I can do, the only way I can ever atone." Meliodas stated.

"Hmm, spout off all the nonsense as you wish. The princess and this weapon will be mine. And your friend over there, doesn't have any chance of surviving what's in her system." Golgius said, but from the look in Meliodas's eyes I could tell he was pissed. Meliodas gave him a dark glare which started to put immense pressure on Golgius, I had seen him like this several times but I never saw that look he had in his eyes not even once. The next thing I know, Golgius dives out of the window and starts running off.

"He got away," Hawk stated, "I'm sorry but is that really you standing there, Sir Meliodas?" Elizabeth asked, "It's me. Hey Elizabeth, Hey porky. Hey Tsu." I sighed in relief and Meliodas's attention went on me. He walked over to the bed, seeing my bad shape and lifted me up. "What happened to you while I was out?" Meliodas asked, "That damn doctor happened." He was confused as to what I meant. "He gave me poison, so for right now, I can't move. Stupid doctor. Stupid Holy Knight." I explained.

"Where are we by the way?" He looked around the room, as he held me up. "We're in the town of Dalmally. Which is right next to Baste Prison." Elizabeth explained, "Who was that weirdo?" He asked, "A Holy knight who said his name was Golgius. From the looks of things, he's after Elizabeth and that sword of yours. Tsubaki couldn't stop him from taking the sword since that quack of a doctor poisoned both of you." Hawk explained when I looked over to where he had been standing, he was gone. "That bastard ran off. Damn," My legs felt weak and I guess Meliodas noticed this, "Let's put you on the bed," Captain sat me down on the bed and stood up, as Hawk stood next to me.
