Chapter 25: An All-Out Brawl

3rd person's pov

"You! What do you think you're doing?!" Dreyfus snapped, "Saving the Sins and those who need protection from your corruption. It's not nice to try and kill my little sister's friends, Dreyfus. I thought you knew better than that. I am very disappointed in you." Toshio said, his sword still positioned in front of him. "I never thought that you would betray me like this," Dreyfus spoke, looking angry beyond comprehension. Diane could not believe her eyes as she saw Tsubaki's older brother standing in front of Guila and Howzer, the only sins to ever have met Tsubaki's family were Meliodas and Merlin. "And I never thought that you would lock up my little sister and the princess and ruin the entire Kingdom like you have. You were a father figure to her and to Tsuyu and I, you are betraying us not the other way around, Dreyfus." Toshio snapped, he looked absolutely angered by the betrayal of his father's closest friends. It made him wonder if Dreyfus and Hendrickson had something to do with Zaratras's murder all those years ago, he had only met Meliodas when he was younger and eventually met Merlin when he was in King Arthur's kingdom for some time. Howzer couldn't believe that Toshio had arrived at the best time possible and he only knew things were going to get harder with Tsuyu making her way to the Capital. Both siblings had gotten word from a close friend who stayed in the Capital that Princess Elizabeth and their little sister had been taken prisoner, neither siblings has even knew that Tsubaki was alive. When they heard that both of them became emotional and overjoyed at the fact their little sister survived what happened to their town but it made them angry that she was being held prisoner. "Get out of my way, Toshio. I do not wish to fight against you but if you continue to stand in my way, I will not hesitate to do what I need to in order to achieve my goal." Dreyfus snapped, Kei scoffed at Dreyfus's demand while Toshio smirked. "Sorry there, Dreyfus. I don't answer to corrupt Holy Knights." Howzer, Guila and Diane all looked at Toshio in shock even Gilthunder being taken back by the way Toshio called out Dreyfus. Dreyfus then turned his attention to Guila and Howzer, who were still standing behind Toshio. "Holy Knights of the kingdom intend to protect the criminal and point their swords at me?" Dreyfus questioned, "She ignored her own safety to save someone you're sacrificing for your own greater good without any hesitation! How can you just let others die?" Howzer questioned, he was truly baffled by Dreyfus's words and actions.

"Hmm.." Dreyfus hummed.

"Hey Guila, stop screwing around and come back here!" Jericho said.

"Guila, I thought you wanted to know the truth behind your father's disappearance?" Aldrich asked, "Yes, but I think I already know the answer. If she had not protected him, my brother... would have died by your hands!" Guila exclaimed, Kei watched in silence and took a step forward in front of Diane. "Ah, I see... Like father like daughter, eh." He said. "Our duty as the Holy Knights is to convict evil and guide the people. Nothing more... Return here at once! And I'll act like this never happened. Now..." When neither of them made a move to leave Diane's side, Dreyfus grew even more frustrated at the two. "You fools!" He exclaimed, making Kei roll his eyes.

"Sir Howzer, what are your thoughts on our chances of winning in this dire situation? With our abilities, we can't guarantee the safety of those two behind us." Guila addressed Howzer, Toshio kept himself positioned in front of the two. He knew that they weren't outnumbered but Dreyfus was a very strong opponent and so was Gilthunder. To be honest, he was more excited than worried about anything. "Don't come out..." Diane said to Zeal, who nodded. "Who are you exactly?" She asked, looking at Kei. "I'm a long time friend of Toshio and his sisters. We met when we were kids. Ever since our town was destroyed, I've been traveling with him." Kei explained. "And you guys came here to save us?" She asked, sounding confused. Zeal peeked his head out to look at Kei, "In a way. We actually came because we learned that Tsubaki was alive and being held prisoner with Princess Elizabeth. And we also heard that you sins came here to get them back. So Toshio made the decision to help you guys out, especially since he believes you guys are innocent." Kei added.
