Chapter 23: Rescue Elizabeth and Tsubaki! Unexpected Visitors take Charge!

3rd person's pov

When that mage suddenly showed up behind Elizabeth and Tsubaki, everyone couldn't believe how fast things had happened. Meliodas, Ban and Gowther were thrown to the kingdom, hoping to rescue the two. "Our primary goal is the rescue of Elizabeth and Tsu. Keep the fighting to a minimum. Understood?" Meliodas said, the three landed directly outside the gates of the city. "But when we do have to fight, you're going all out, huh, Cap'n?" Ban quipped, looking intrigued. On the inside, Ban had a different plan as to why he tagged along. He knew that Tsubaki could take care of herself but he still was worried and so was Meliodas. "Wait for me, Elizabeth! Tsu. I promise I'll get you both back." He thought to himself but upon feeling a strange power, he came to quick and sudden stop. "Cap'n, why are you stopping all of a su-" Ban questioned, "What... is this strange power I feel?" He asked, feeling the same thing that Meliodas and Gowther felt. "The source is located on the other side of the castle." Gowther stated, "The other side of the castle?" Meliodas quipped, he knew that things were about to become a lot more complicated. It made him even more alert as he felt another presence outside the city, it seemed that Gowther and Ban sensed whatever it was too.

"King Arthur of Camelot?!"

"Why is he here at Lioness...?"

"I will go and meet him." Hendrickson stated, although Dreyfus and Hendrickson knew that Elizabeth was here. They had no idea about Tsubaki being here in the castle.

"Dreyfus, I leave the Eight Deadly Sins to you." Hendrickson stated, "Very well..." Dreyfus nodded, the two separated and Hendrickson headed for the main gates of the kingdom.

"I am one of the Kingdom of Lioness'
Great Holy Knights, Hendrickson." Hendrickson greeted the visitor, "I have heard that you are the king of a southern kingdom. To travel here without sending a messenger... Are you not lacking of common courtesy?" He questioned.

"I am the King of Camelot, Arthur Pendragon." Arthur greeted, he was a bit shorter than Hendrickson. He had fair skin, light caramel colored hair and light brown eyes. He was very handsome, anyone who had seen him before would agree. But he also looked very young to King, "I apologize for my rudeness. I was once indebted to the King of Lioness. I have come to repay that debt."

"While at the head of an army?" Hendrickson looked rather puzzled as to why Arthur had come.

"Would I have been noticed with anything less than this?" Arthur asked.

"What?"

"You had us fooled there..." Hendrickson stated, "Unfortunately, the King has suddenly fallen ill, and is currently resting in his bed. You'll have to leave." Hendrickson wanted nothing more than to get back to the plan at hand, first he just needed to get Arthur to leave Lioness. "Then it is all the more reason for us to stay." Arthur said, "This person is definitely capable of curing the King of his illness." He motioned to the person standing next to him, a young woman who wore a mask much like Viviann did. Hendrickson could not tell if this person was a doctor or a mage but he knew to keep his wits about him, "We appreciate your kindness, but you'll still have to leave." Hendrickson denied Arthur of helping, which confused Arthur. The mage standing beside him knew exactly what was going on, she could sense that Tsubaki, Meliodas, Ban and Gowther were inside the Kingdom's walls. But she could sense that Tsubaki was in immense trouble and far away from the other sins, which is where she was needed first.

"I refuse!" Arthur stated.

"What did you just say?" Hendrickson looked back at him, incredulous at Arthur's insistence on getting into the kingdom. "Sir Hendrickson, it seems that you have a matter on your hands that is making you deny entry to any outsiders. Then we will lend a hand in solving that matter." Arthur stated, looking serious.
