Tsubaki's pov
I couldn't see straight when looking at Dreyfus, I wanted nothing more than to beat the absolute shit out of him but I had to hold myself back. The others certainly were expecting me to do something but I couldn't bring myself to hurt him, even though I was burning with hatred. Tsuyu could see how much I was holding back, she was also just as angry about this whole thing as I was. "All I ever wanted was to be a father that my son could be proud of," Dreyfus said, making me even more angrier than I already was. How could he think that doing something like this would make anyone happy, let alone his son who has a very different set of morals than he does. "Griamore is alive. He was told to guard my sister Veronica's remains." Margaret explained, I had wondered where he had been this whole time. I also wondered where Howzer was, I could sense the other sins out there in the capital but I couldn't tell if any of them were injured or okay. "I'm sure he still is, now." King Bartra sat up slightly, looking at Dreyfus with disappointment in his eyes. "Father..." Elizabeth started, "Dreyfus..." He started, "Sire!" Dreyfus looked up at King Bartra as two soldiers came into the room, they stood behind Dreyfus. "As of now, I'm relieving you of your post as Grand Master. Until I hand down your sentence, wait in the dungeon." King Bartra stated, I noticed that King Bartra wasn't well as he suddenly collapsed scaring everyone in the room. "Father!" Elizabeth cried out, Tsuyu stepped forward but moved aside when Merlin walked forward. "Let me look." Merlin remained calm, examining King Bartra. "He's weakened considerably. He needs treatment right away." Merlin stated, "Lady Merlin, please save my father!" Elizabeth begged, I knew she wanted nothing more than to have more time with her father. In a way, I was envious that she had her father for as long as she has. I could only hope that Merlin had a way to save him, not just for the sake of his daughters but for the sake of the kingdom as well. We were in uncertain times and a dead king would only serve to cause mass panic, chaos, and possibly even worse outcomes for the kingdom itself. The stress that all of this has caused seems to have taken its toll on King Bartra, Tsuyu held my hand as we waited for Merlin to give us her answer. "I also ask you to save him!" Margaret stated, "Yes, I'll do everything I can. But His Majesty can't rest easy here. I'd like to treat him in Camelot. Is that all right?" Merlin looked at the two sisters, hoping they would give her permission.
"Neither of you has anything to worry about. Elizabeth, remember the vision I just told you about." Meliodas asked, "Vision?" Elizabeth looked slightly confused, "A crimson boar?" It seemed Elizabeth caught onto what Meliodas meant, she saw Merlin's symbol which was on her thigh.
"Big Sister Margaret, let's leave it to Lady Merlin!" Elizabeth smiled, looking at her older sister. "If you say so," Margaret answered, the amount of trust they had in each other was great. "I don't know what's going on, but it looks like everything's settled. And if that's the case, let's get--" Meliodas started, "Sir Meliodas!" Arthur suddenly spoke up, turning attention to him. I knew that Arthur wasn't a bad person, he had this aura around him that told me that he was trustworthy. After all, it seemed that Merlin had been by his side for a while. "You and I were brought together by a great twist of fate! As Camelot's grand master, I ask you for your help!" Arthur must have had things going on back home that he needed the Captain of the Eight Sins to help. "Sure thing," Meliodas answered, not giving his answer another thought. It brought a smile to my face, Meliodas was always willing to help those he met. That's why Diane is so infatuated with him and I don't blame her for that sentiment, he always pulls through when we need him. A weird feeling started to spur in my chest, making me shift in slight discomfort which didn't go unnoticed by both my sister and Gilthunder. "R-Really?" Arthur was taken aback by how Meliodas said yes without giving it much thought, "Then please come with me right--" Arthur was cut off, "If I'm ever in the mood. I've got to clean up this town, and there's the Boar's Hat, too." Meliodas stated.
"It's not happening any time soon." Arthur seemed very disappointed.
"No way..." Meliodas tilted his head, I chuckled lightly and shook my head.
"He got you good, eh?"
"What about you, Merlin?" Meliodas looked at Merlin, "You coming back to the Eight Deadly Sins?" He asked, I looked at Merlin in hopes that she would say yes. I really missed having her around, she was the most mature out of all of us and she was much like a maternal figure for me.
"If I'm ever in the mood," Merlin stated, making Tsuyu and I laugh as she used his words against him. With that, Merlin, Arthur, and the King disappeared from the room. "Huh! I guess she got me." Meliodas quipped, making me laugh. "Yeah, she used your own words against you." I smiled, "Hmm.. I wonder who learned from her to do just that." Meliodas taunted me, I stuck my tongue out at him childishly. "Oh, crap! I forgot to ask Merlin about ten years ago." He suddenly exclaimed, Merlin was the only one other than Dreyfus and Hendrickson who knew what really took place the day that Zaratras was killed."Why would Merlin know?" Tsuyu asked.
"I don't know but Merlin was around at the time so she knows," I answered. "I forgot to mention to you both that your brother is here. He came when he found out that you were taken hostage." Gilthunder said, shocking both Tsuyu and I. "What?" Tsuyu exclaimed, I was surprised that she didn't know that he was coming but I was even more shocked that he actually did come to save me. I didn't think that he would, "Where is he?" Tsuyu asked, "Last I saw him, he was with King and Diane. He came across us during our fight with them." Gilthunder explained, "He... He really came- to save me?" I stammered across my words, Gilthunder looked at me with soft eyes. "Yes, he did." Gilthunder nodded, "...Tsu, I know you think we don't love you... And that we don't see you as our sister but we do-" I held a hand up, cutting Tsuyu off from her statement. "Not now, Tsuyu. I.. We can talk about this later." I stated, shaking my head. I got the same feeling from before, but there was something else that I was sensing. "U-Um... Sir Meliodas... someday, are you really going to leave me?" Before Meliodas had the chance to answer her question, the room suddenly blew up. It was thanks to everyone's quick thinking that we were able to get out with no injuries. "Th-The castle!" Elizabeth exclaimed. "Are you all right, Elizabeth? Tsu?" I nodded at the question, slightly shaken up by the explosion. "Yes, but what in the world happened just now?" Elizabeth questioned, looking at Meliodas. All of us were at a loss for words, none of us knew what caused the room to blow up so suddenly.
"Are you both all right?" Meliodas looked at Gilthunder and Margaret, who both confirmed that they were okay. Tsuyu stood beside me, looking a little disheveled but was overall okay.
"There's one more person..." Gilthunder started, "Right." Meliodas nodded.
"Dreyfus is gone." He announced, making Elizabeth and I gasp. Just where the hell did he go? And why do I have a really bad feeling that someone we know is behind the explosion?
