Chapter 8

Something was bugging Morro, however; the girl with black hair, Nya and the guy with spiky brown hair, Kai...he knew them from somewhere. But where?

He walked into the garage to see Kai and Cole by the coffee machine, Seliel and Skylor were working on a car. Zane and Pixal were on the computers, and Lloyd and Nya were sitting by the couches. Just then, Harumi and Jay rushed in. 

"Just in time, you two." Wu gestured to the latecomers.

"Everybody in!" Everyone gathered around the couches where Lloyd and Nya were. 

"As I said before, this is Morro. And I believe I gave you a bit of an insight to who's who, and their personalities." Wu says as he places a hand on morro's shoulder.

"Tell me, Morro, are there anyone here you recognise?" Everyone frowned, except Kai and Nya. 

"Those two." Morro said, nodding at the siblings.

Wu nodded and smiled.  "I knew you would say that. Your parents had passed a year or so after Kai's birth. I turned to Ray and Maya, who happily took you in. You grew up with the Smiths, until they were taken, before you left and somehow stumbled upon me. I then adopted you as my own. You took a job with the Sons of Garmadon, but then you quit your job after the fight between you and Killow, over your relation towards me."

Morro looked at the siblings "So, are you guys like my, I dunno, long-lost-siblings?"

"I guess you could say that." Kai says as he grins.

   "Wait, if you adopted Morro, doesn't that make him my step-cousin?" Lloyd asked.

"If that's how you interpret it." Wu says as he shrugs.

The blonde grinned, "Sweet!"

"Morro, here we are all family." Skylor says as she steps  forward.

"We believe that DNA isn't what makes a family, it's the love and trust we have within each other." Morro smiles at that.  Wu clapped his hands, "Alright! Let's get down to business, Cole, Jay, Harumi and Skylor where are you four at with Ronin's truce?"

  "He's coming in later today." Jay responded.

"Alright, Lloyd, Nya, I'm sending you two some locations and a list of names. Bring them here by sundown."

"Copy that!" Lloyd responded, checking his phone. 

"Kai, you're staying here and resting that leg." Wu ordered. Morro hears him groan before limping off to who-knows-where.

"Zane and Pixal, we need you down here with your computing skills." Wu motioned towards the two robots.

  "Seliel, Morro you're gonna be out enlisting more people as well. I've sent you a list."

Seliel and Morro checks their messages.

"Dismissed!" Everyone rushes off, and Morro gets in the jeep with Seliel. He sees everyone else get on their vehicles too.

Cole, Jay, Skylor and Harumi piled into a jeep and Lloyd and Nya drove of on motorbikes.

They pull out and drive away.

"So...you and Lloyd are cousins?" Seliel started. 

"Yep." Morro says. 

" I'll admit, I wasn't expecting it." Morro states truthfully. 

"Neither did I." Seliel responded they stop at the red light. 

"We should probably get to know each other since we're going to be working together for a while."
Morro says as Seliel nodded, "You go first."

"Well...my full name is Morgan Stefan Garmadon, I'm 22, uh... my birthday is on February 28th, I don't know what more there is to say, your turn."

"Um...I'm Seliel Gordon Walker, Jay's twin, I'm 19, my birthday is on December 24th...I've been hit on the head with a spanner?"

"Do I even wanna know how?" Morro says as he snorts.

"Nope, it was...not a pleasant experience." Seliel responded grimly as she starts driving, though she had a faint smile on her face. 

"Okay, this is getting boring, let's put some music on." Morro says, connecting his phone to the car. Seliel grins and they both belt out the lyrics off-key.
