Chapter 27

Skylor was mad-no scratch that. She was furious. Harumi had a death wish. She messed with the wrong gang. Jay was sorting out the different levers and gears and wiring. Skylor was adding in the fireproof metal paint onto the boosters.

"Got more paint," Jay calls out, tossing a container up. Skylor catches it neatly and rip off the lid.

"How you holding up?" Seliel walks over to Skylor, wrapping her arms around her now girlfriends waist; looking at what Skylor was doing.

"Seliel! You should be resting." Skylor looks over to Seliel; her face was in shock yet very worried.

"Relax, I'm fine! No need to worry Sky." Seliel smiles as she leans to place a kiss on Skylor's forehead.

"I know I know but you should still be careful. What if you get hurt again or what if-" Seliel shuts her up with a kiss which the red haired women melts into.

"Shush now. You worry about me too much my love. Trust me, I'll be fine." Seliel smiled at her girlfriend; she knew how much Skylor cared about her yet..Seliel knew that she could defend herself during fights and battles. Seliel's Smile made Skylor's worry go down.

"Okay then, whatever you say..my darling." Skylor had said as she leans in for another kiss from her beautiful girlfriend. Seeing Seliel's face turn red with the nickname that Skylor said made her laugh and smile. She loved Seliel and there was nothing you could do to end her love for her lady.

"Guys! Zane and Pixal found something!" Cole shouts as the others stops on what they were doing and run inside.

"I managed to hack into their camera," Zane explained, "And we found the leader. Just one question: how does he have four arms?"

Skylor peers into the small screen and her eyes widen. "That's Lloyd's dad?"

Wu sighed, "When we were children, he had been bitten by the Great Devourer. There was a cure, the flower of light. But there were none in existence, since they'd all been destroyed in the Oni and Dragon Battle. My father and all our allies fought furiously and it paid off. We'd won. As we grew older, the venom corrupted my father more and more. After Lloyd was born, he was praising the Oni, and aspired to be just like them and have an army."

"Misako and I tried to snap him out of it, but he wouldn't hear us. He made plans to take Lloyd away with him and build an empire, and resurrect the Oni and rule. I managed to grab Lloyd and Misako. The three of us escaped that night, and hid out in my old Monastery. Fun fact, all of you have been there before, as I used to watch over you when you were younger. Anyways, Misako left with Lloyd after buying a house, but they still came over. That's when I recruited a group of old friends and started this gang. They signed a contract that their children will join us once they are old enough, and that's how you all joined. Except for Kai..his is a different story that I can not tell but you started training when you were...what, 5-6, years old, and then when you were 14-16 years of age, I started sending you out on missions."

"W-What about Harumi then?" Pixal asked.

"Harumi wasn't part of the deal. She joined when she was around 17, but had experience. Garmadon must've found out about our gang and sent her in to be a mole."

"But how did he find out about our gang?" Seliel echoed.

"Some of the people we were dealing with were also dealing with Garmadon as well. They must've turned down his offers and told him about us," Wu massaged his forehead.

"Keep surveying them. Morro, Jay, Skylor, let's continue building. They probably know of our location now, so we must be prepared for anything,"

Skylor gasp, "Unless they're waiting for us to make the first move!"
