Chapter 24

"Hello?" Seliel asks, "Yeah, Lloyd's on the phone to him now...you gave her Honest-Tea?...Well great...what did she say?...No...but Wu said he's...it can't be...wait...what?...I'll call you back..."

"Who was that?" Nya asks.

"Morro. They gave her Honest-Tea and she blurted it all out. The SoG are led by Montgomery Garmadon."

"That's my dad's name," Lloyd perks up, "He's dead though...in a car accident when I was 14...how is that possible?"

"...Because he never really died!" Nya had realized. "It was probably staged! Your dad had something against Wu, didn't he?"

"Y-Yeah, he didn't like how I never spent time with him, and was always with Wu. He was talking about taking me somewhere...all the way on the other side of Ninjago, but Wu refused. Dad had all these crazy ideas on resurrecting the dead and starting an army... but it was never doable."

"That's not all," Seliel added, "The SoG aren't just a gang, they're a cult!"

"What?!"

"Harumi just told them they were planning on resurrecting an old army, called the Oni warriors! They were believed to be invincible."

"That must be their plan!" Jay yelped, "They're gonna resurrect the Oni warriors and send them after us!"

"The Oni wars date back to the earlier years to when Ninjago was created. There was a massive battle between them and the Dragon warriors. But the Oni lost." Pixal explained.

"Then we must be the Dragon warriors!" Nya called out, "They must want to recreate the battle from years ago!"

"But won't the Oni have to like...possess the gang members? Since they're extinct and dead, they'll need mortal bodies..." Skylor trails off.

"Aka, the SoG members!" Cole finishes.

"But, how are they gonna resurrect the Oni?" Seliel wonders.

"Long ago, there were three masks of Oni; the Mask of Hatred, the Mask of Vengeance, and the Mask of Deception. If all three masks are put together, it can open a portal to the Departed Realm and has the ability to bring back the dead," Pixal says.

"Then we need to get to those masks and destroy them!" Kai shouted.

"Jay, get to the garage, as fast as you can! Everyone else, start telling our allies about the news!" Lloyd orders and they pull out their phones as Jay speeds up.

They were against a ticking time bomb, and they needed to beat it, desperately.

The minute Jay pulled up into the garage, they wasted no time, jumping out of the jeep. Skylor ditches the crutches and carries Seliel into the garage bridal style and dumps her on the couches before racing to grab her crutches, to see Lloyd holding them, "Get in, now!" Morro hisses and they run in just as Kai and Cole slam the doors shut, locking them tightly.

Pixal ran straight into Zane's arms and he massages her forehead. Wu appeared out of nowhere, "Are you all okay?" he asks, eyes filled with worry.

"Heh, we're good, Wu, Kai nearly got killed, your brothers running a cult, just another day in Ninjago!" Jay chuckles, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.

"Zane did some research to pass time-"

"Where the fuck is the crazy bitch?" Kai asked, looking extremely pissed off.

"Back there," Morro pointed to the other end of the garage where the traitor sat tied up,
glaring at them.

Kai wastes no time to walk towards Harumi very angerly. When he finally approaches her, he grabs one of the swords off of the table and stabs her right in the leg making her scream and grabbing everybody's attention.
