Chapter 25

What the fuck just happened?

"Well that was something.." Jay had begin to say, trying to break the silence which only turned back into quiet.

"I'm gonna check up on Kai.." Cole said, walking away from the group. He was worried about his boyfriend, the boy didn't care if the brunette had lied to him about multiple times..he just wanted to know if he's okay.

"Oh yea go check out on Kai and make out with him while your at it." Skylor had said which made Cole stop walking, turning his whole body around.

"I'm not going to make out with him. I'm going to try to help him to what he's going through currently." Cole spoken very calmly, trying to not get angry.

"Help him with what? He's a traitor! He LIED to ALL OF US INCLUDING YOU." Skylor was furious at Kai, not only did she broke up with Kai but turns out that he was a liar.

"Maybe he lied to us about what happened to his father but don't think for a second that you wouldn't do the same Sky." Cole said, walking closer towards the red haired teenager, very much pissed off.

"You don't know what it's like losing both of your parents knowing that you killed them yourself with your hands and didn't have a good relationship with your parents. My father passed away due to a overdose a few days ago while my mother died due to cancer. I had to watch my own mother die as she was having a heart attack at the hospital and I couldn't do anything. Why? I was only 8."

"The doctors couldn't save her and I couldn't do anything to prevent it. My mother's death had a huge impact between me and my father that we weren't the same after trying to recover. Kai's mother might not be dead yet but..I could understand what he's going through because I've had some experience." Cole had spoken very softly, trying so hard not to break down into tears about his parents.

"He lost his father and now he doesn't know if his mother is going to die or not. Everybody could hate him for lying about what really happened to his father but put yourself into his shoes. If you saw your father get murdered in front of you..what would you do? Would you tell your family what really happened, causing your family to go through a lot of grief and pain or would you keep the death of your father to yourself just to cause your family less pain and grief? If I was in Kai's shoes, I would've kept it a secret from everybody."

Everybody in the room was speechless. Cole never liked talking about his personal life, especially his father because he knew how many fucked up shit his father did to the boy but he couldn't care. It was in the past for Cole anyways. He did it because he couldn't even imagine what pain the brunette boy was going through right now..he knew exactly what Kai was going though and was not going to let his friends talk down about his boyfriend.

"I might be dating Kai right now but at least I'm there for him. Hell, I've always been there for him when you and him were dating still. I've always been by his side when he needed help. Where the hell were YOU when Kai needed help? You were his girlfriend. You were fucking supposed to be there for him, not me. I wasn't even his boyfriend at the time. You blamed him on 'cheating' on you at the hospital when really if you were to listen to Kai for once, You could've learned that the phone call he was on..was his mother because he was worried about her. His only parent that Kai got left in the family."

"Did you even gave a shit about Kai?..Or did you only date him because he was the only guy who actual gave you love and affection? Did you even cared about his feelings? I know I wasn't his boyfriend back then but you should've been there for Kai when he was going through shit that you didn't know he was going through. I know Kai isn't the type of guy who talks about his feelings but even I could tell he needed comfort. " Cole had stated, walking closer to Skylor.
