Chapter 23

Great. Out of all the jobs available, Morro was stuck with babysitting Harumi. But it gave him time to ask some burning questions. Morro had decided to go back to the warehouse after seeing that Kai was okay after the horrible accident that Harumi had caused.

"I used to be at the SoG, how come I never saw you there?" Morro ask.

Harumi shrugged, "Did you ever come to the big speeches, where I gave out orders straight from the Boss?"

"I...no,"

"Well there you have it," Currently Harumi was tied up to the chair, and Morro was supposed to be watching her, while Wu and Zane worked on the Land Bounty.

"Just...shut up," Harumi mumble.

"Well...you're the one who asked first-"

"Listen, you broke my cousin's heart and got my best friends in hospital, so I am stressed out and mad, so SHUT THE FUCK UP!"

He must've startled Wu and Zane since they ran in, "Everything all right in here?" Zane asked.

Morro nodded, "Everything's fine," He mutter darkly, glaring at the smirking girl. Wu places a hand on his shoulder, "Zane, are you alright with watching Harumi?" Zane nods and Wu leads Morro out at the back and hands him a toolbox, "You can help me fix up the Land Bounty. Destiny's Bounty ran into a few...issues."

Morro shrug, "Sure,"

"Seliel and Kai are getting discharged today," Wu tells Morro and he nods, "Seliel's not ready to go out, but Kai seems ready,"

"Good," Morro says, "We'll need all the help we can get to deal with these lowlifes,"

Any minute now. Zane's phone would buzz with a notification from Pixal, to let him know that Seliel and Kai have been discharged from hospital and were coming home. In the meantime, Zane was watching over Harumi.

"Hey, I get that you're mad-"

He cuts her off, "Mad is an understatement,"

"Okay, but I'm bored!"

"What do you want me to do about that?!"

"I dunno, talk to me?"

"Talking to you is the last thing I wanna do," Zane folds his arms and look away. Stuffins nuzzles against his leg and Zane picks him up, gently stroking his fur.

Then Wu and Morro came in. Wu was holding a tray laden with cups, "My, you must be thirsty," he sets the tray down and holds one of the cups to her mouth. Harumi swallows the liquid down and frowns, "Wait, what was in this?"

Morro smirked, "Just one of my father's special teas..."

"Have we got everything?"

"Affirmative,"

"Okay, let's grab Sel's crutches and get outta here," Nya said, as Pixal grabs her phone.

Nya and Cole were bringing the car around to the front, and Skylor had gone to retrieve any items from the room Seliel was in. Kai was perched at the side of the hospital bed, his feet swinging side to side. Seliel was sitting on the sofa, scrolling through her phone and Lloyd was messaging someone, most likely Wu or Zane.

Jay stood in the room with Kai, walking in circles, not sure what he was gonna say to Harumi. Jay needed a distraction. He goes to Kai, getting onto the bed next to him and nudges the brunette lightly. Kai looks up, "Mm?"

"So...you and Cole?" Jay smirks. Kai rolls his eyes and playfully punches his shoulder,
"Shuddup," Kai mumbles, cheeks flushing lightly.

"Why? It's cute! You guys gonna sleep in the same bed when you're at ours?" Jay tease.
