Chapter 13

With Cole and Kai..

Cole and Kai managed to snag the Land Bounty to work on together, so it was just the two of them.

However, Kai couldn't help but notice how concerned Cole looked all of a sudden, so he nudged him lightly.

"Everything alright?"

Cole blinks, "Yeah, yeah, just...did you hear that?"

Kai frowns, "Hear what?"

"It sounded like..."

"MEW!"

Kai jumped, hitting his head on the roof, "Okay, now I heard it!" Kai groans, clutching his head.

A small shadow bounced into view and the two of them burst out laughing.

"Stuffins!"

Stuffins was their cat that they adopted for the team and he clearly had favourites; Nya, Zane and Cole. Everyone called him 'adorable' and 'the cutest thing ever!'

Kai? To him, he's known as, 'The spawn of the devil' That cat hated Kai, no joke!

Kai rolled his eyes, but couldn't stop a smile stretching on his face as Stuffins jumped into his boyfriend arms. Cole gave an adorable laugh as he hopped out of the vehicle, cradling the small cat in his arms.

"Come on, let's get you to Wu."

Kai watches with admiration as he walks off with Stuffins before going back to fixing the wiring.

'How did Kai manage to end up with an angel like him?' Kai had thought to himself as he follows Cole to fix the wires with his boyfriend.

Meanwhile with Lloyd, Ronin and Nya..

This was not how Lloyd expected this trip to go! Lloyd nudges Ronin, "If you have any traps set, now would be a good time to set them off!"

The thief shrugged as he pressed a red button next to them. They heard several shouts, along with the door being yanked open and slammed shut. Then there was silence. Ronin stood up and looked around before sighing heavily,

"You guys wait here, I have something at the back." He ditched the items and disappeared into the back room, before returning with a wooden box the same size as a shoe box. Lloyd smirk, "Is that what I think it is?"

Nya lifted the lid and an adorably mischievous grin spread through her face, "Jackpot!"

Inside was a Juul, several vapes, and powders all bundled into packets, as well as a few cigarettes and a lighter.

Hey, They were in a mafia gang, of course they drink and do drugs, just not all the time!

"What are we waiting for?" Lloyd ask, grinning,

"Let's get this show on the road!"

As Pixal and Zane scanned the area, he noticed something in the distance, "No way!"

Pixal frowned, "What? What is it?"

Zane beckon her over and show her the building he laid eyes on.

"Is that what I think it is?" she asked.

"The Temple of Resurrection," Zane breathe. The two of them are startled when they heard the speakers boom.

"Sons of Garmadon! It is an honour to see you all working hard! However...I have just received word that we have some...uninvited guests on our territory! Find them, and bring them to me!"

Zane eyes widen, "We need to tell the others and get out of here!"

"On it," Pixal taps her intercom and speaks, "They know we're here. Someone must've tipped us off,"

"We're already waiting for you guys," Jay  responded.

"Okay, great. What about Ash and Griffin?" Zane asked.

"Um...yup! We see Jay and Rumi!" Griffins speedy voice comes through, "Where the fuck are you guys?"

"Um..." Zane scans the area, "Somewhere, but nearby the Temple Of Resurrection, Pix, can you plot the quickest route out?"

His girlfriend looked around, "Got it! Follow me!"
Zane runs behind her, and they run through streets and random paths till they finally reach their group.

Harumi was sitting in the passenger seat, the door opened, with her feet swinging out. Jay was leaning against the car, cigarette between his lips. Griffin and Ash were also puffing on cigarettes and scrolling through their phones.

"Nice of you lovebirds to show up!" Harumi teased, "Can we go yet?"

"Affirmative," Zane replied.

They pile into the jeep and drive out.

"Yo Gravis! Where does this go?" Morro called out. Gravis floats over, taking the wrench and tightening the bolt into the power box.

Morro taps it lightly. Hmm. Seems secure enough.
His phone rings, Morro picks it up, smirking as he sees the caller ID.

"Yoo fuzzy garmadon! How can I help?"

Morro swears that he could feel Lloyd roll his eyes, "We got more spare parts-"

"And we hit the motherfucking jackpot!" Nya shouted excitedly.

"What she means is, we're gonna party hard tonight!"

A devilish grin crosses Morro's face, and he steps off the Bounty and goes away so nobody could hear him.

"Define...party hard..."

"Bitch, we hit the motherload! Ro-Ro here, has a supply!" Nya calls out

he grins, "Awesome! Should I tell the others!"

"Hell yes!" Ronin replied. Morro laughs as he cuts the call and check the time. It was only half four.
