You walked through the ruins of Cair Paravel, standing where your throne sat in between Peter and Suzan. It was in the middle, and you were not a fan of it. You hated how much it made you seem like the most in control or in command when you weren't. You were always the deciding factor but never anything important like you hoped to be. So sitting in the middle made you feel bad. Though you knew why it was like that, you were the most loved by the Narnians and you had so much weight on your shoulders that the others didn't know about so it was nice to receive some recognition even if the siblings had no idea why.
After the ruins you walked through the path that you used to walk. It lead to a small ledge looking out to the sea with a perfect view of the sky. You used to go there at night when you couldn't sleep and star gaze. You would even talk to the moon hoping it could hear you. The ledge brought back many memories but that pushed you to keep moving. You flew over the trees until you spotted it. The lamp post of which you had dreamed about many times. It was always in your dreams reminding you of why you can never go back. You landed next to it, wrapping your arm around it you swung. Spinning in circles and giggling as you re watched memories play out. When you stopped you looked to the way of his home.
You began walking running your fingers along the trees and bushes, but that was taking to long. You ran as fast as your legs could carry you and your new weight. You stopped when you saw his door. It was not broken in nor damaged in any way. You smiled as you remember how you insisted on replacing it after you became Queen. Tumnus thanked you non stop, you always told him it was no problem. You entered the small cave, and it still smelled like him. Tears welled in your eyes threatening to spill. They only did flow when you found his flute. You didn't bother to wipe them away even when you smiled clutching the instrument to your chest.
You looked around the home and took deep breathes. You closed your eyes and let your magic flow. A memory of when you two danced around the living room as you used your magic to play music showed. You sucked in your breathe and held it as you saw his smiling face. He was so happy to be free of the White Witches hold and have a family. You were both laughing at the fact that he had tripped over his own hooves and was laying on the ground. The memory faded when you reached out for him.
A new memory came into play. This one was when you had walked into his cave home after a long day and you needed an escape. You told him about your day and he just sat, staring at you, and listening. He watched you as you made dinner for the two of you absentmindedly. Only when you finished cooking and put the plate down in front of him did you realize what you did. You giggled and blushed, he chuckled with you. Oh how you missed that sound, it wasn't a laugh but it was deep and smooth. The memory faded again.
The next one was after you had been courted by to many men to count in one day. It was a day to relax for the Kings and Queens, but many males and even some females showed up to the castle just to court you. You had to interview each one and listen to their reasons. When you reject them some took it respectfully and bowed then left but others were rude saying you were nothing more than a spoiled Queen. You ended up crying in Tumnus' arms at the end of the day. That was the day you discovered your mind reading abilities.
"Stop saying how you would beat up the mean folks for me, Tum." You said as you sipped tea.
"I haven't said anything." His eyebrows knitted together.
"Yes you did I just heard you." You looked over at him mirroring his facial expression. "Yes I can hear you." You gasped when you saw his lips had never moved.
'I can hear your thoughts?' You question Tumnus in his mind.
'Clearly' He thought back to you. You squealed and jumped around then hugged him. He smiled at your antics.
Finally this memory faded and left you sitting on one of the chairs next the the fire place. You felt your feathers changing each day. Turning a little more smoky, Tumnus was the only one, excluding Aslan, who knew of your wings. It was the first time you revealed them in Narnia when you entered the wardrobe. It was after Lucy had left it for the second time. You walked in and followed the small foot prints she had left behind. They led you to the lamppost then to Tumnus' house. You knocked three times and waited. The faun opened the door and was quite surprised to see you. "Erm... Hello. You must be Mr. Tumnus. Lucy told us about you and I pretended I didn't believe her at first but now I'm here, without her. I am so sorry for forgetting my manners. I am Y/N... I don't have a last name... ummm....I am sorry for intruding but I was wondering if I could come in and have a cup of tea, Lucy tells me you are a very nice tea buddy." You let the words flow out of your mouth. The faun nods his head and lets you enter.
"So Y/N why didn't you come with Lucy?" Tumnus asked.
"Oh... I couldn't seem like I believed her even though I did. It's a bit complicated. But now that I'm here without her I feel sort of bad about it." You admitted as the faun poured some tea. You two talked for hours about interesting things. At the end you stood up and pulled Tumnus outside.
"You shared secrets with me and I am thankful for it so I would like to share a secret with you." He tilted his head in a confused way. You smiled and took a few steps away from him and let your wings open up and be seen. He gasped and stared at them as you flapped them a bit. It was the beginning of a wonderful friendship.
