As the winter turned into spring the bond between Erin and Angus only got stronger. At school they both managed to balance their relationship with each other and with their respective friends.
Almost unnoticed, JJ was gradually transforming from the boy in a skirt, to someone altogether much more feminine. Over the months his hair had grown to shoulder length and for PE he would wear it in a ponytail. More subtlety his ponytail morphed from a boy's low ponytail to a girl's high one and in the PE class, he started wearing a sports bra. Slowly and without any fuss, he was building up the padding, broadly in line with the growth of the other girls' breasts. Since the PE class was the last of the day, he'd often keep the bra on under his school blouse.
Slowly but surely, JJ was transforming into Gillian and nobody was really noticing, except for Erin who had remained his confidant.
