When I arrive at the address I can already see smoke coming from inside the building. Should I be worried about that?
I knock on the door and hear some stumbling before the door opens.
"You actually came?" Well obviously.
"Yeah.." Dabi raises eyebrow at me. "Come in." He orders and steps out of the way. I come in. It's small but clean. there's a stack of clean clothes in the corner and a bed and couch. No TV or anything fancy, but there's a kitchen, which includes a microwave and furnace.
"It's not much." I shrug and put my bag now next to the couch.
"It's enough to live in I guess." I open my bag and stack my clothes next to his. "I have to go. I'll be back later tonight." He states before leaving. "Alright I guess." I murmur.

I look in the fridge and see mostly fruit, bacon and some other stuff. I shrug and sit down on the couch. I took my notebook out of my bag, the only book I really took with me, and start filling in a page on Kirishima.

When Dabi comes home I'm already asleep, on the couch, with my notebook laying on my chest.

{I'm gonna continue for this part of the story cuz, Midoriya was asleep, obviously~Dabi}

I come into the room and see the kid sleeping on the couch. I invited him over because he could be helpful. I notice a notebook on his chest and pick it up.
He has messy handwriting and it's hard for me to read, don't mind it, I never got passed middle school. I flip through the pages of his notebook and see a lot of detailed information on famous heroes, he made drawings of their hero suits and wrote down how he could improve them to make it easier to work with. I know the kid would be helpful. I throw a blanket over him and put his notebook on the coffee table. I look back at him one more time before going to bed myself.

{I'm back~Izuku}

"Morning." I hear when I sit up right on the couch. Just then I realized I'd fallen asleep while still at Dabi's place. It's not that I wanted to go home, I just didn't want to worry my mom, I failed that one. I groaned and looked over at Dabi who was flipping through my notebook. Blood drains from my face as I snatch it away.
"That's mine." He looks up at me and smiles slightly, until one of the staples around his mouth got loose.
"Shit- You're in my house, I could've just thrown you out when I found you here yesterday." I groan again as he wipes away a bit of blood coming from the edges of his burns, the place where one of the staples got loose.
"Are you ok?" Dabi nods and stands up to get something to stop the bleeding. "I'm fine." He states.
"Can I help you with something? I don't think I'm going back to school.." Dabi just shrugs. "I don't know. Do you have exces to surgical staples?" I think about it for a moment. It was obvious he was being sarcastic, but I'm pretty sure I've seen staples similar to his at the hospital when I was there for a checkup a few weeks ago.
"Not at the moment.. But I can try getting some." He raised an eyebrow. "How?"
"They have them at the hospital, I have a checkup next week, I could get you some." Dabi seemed genuinely impressed when I explained it. He showed me a small box, the few staples that were still in there were rusty and it probably wasn't smart to use them.
"You could?"
"Yeah sure. I hope you can hold on with the ones you have now. It's not smart to use the ones in the box. The rust can infect your skin." I explain, I tried studying for becoming a doctor.. That is until I was told it was no use. No patient would trust a quirkless doctor.
"Hm. Thanks I guess." Dabi groaned. I smiled, happy to help him.

"You should get new clothes." Dabi states later that day. "What, why?" He sighs, "Do your parents know what kind of clothes you wear?" I nod slowly.
"Then you should get new clothes. Preferably in a different style, to make it less noticeable." He's really done this before?? "You don't want your parents finding you right??" I shake my head. He keeps saying parents as if my dad has ever been in the picture.
"No. stop saying "Parents" As I've ever met my dad." Dabi chuckles, what an asshole.
"I feel like you just want an excuse to go outside." I mutter. "What was that?" I look up. "Nothing."

Eventually Dabi manages to convince me to go get new clothes with him.
"What kind of clothes do you normally wear?" I look up, why do I just now realize how immensely tall this man is. "Usually just sweater, hoodies, t-shirts. Kind of the regular." Dabi groans and leads me to a store I don't recognize.
"This is where I get all my shit. choose a few outfits and I'll see if I like it." Wait-
"You shouldn't have to approve of what I wear-" He looks up with a small grin. "If you're going to keep living in my house you should at least look stylish." He tells me.

After some time I picked a couple of outfits and go back to Dabi.

I showed them to Dabi, who looked surprised.
"Looks good kid" He states. He pays and we go back to his place.

"Go change." Dabi orders when we come back. I go into the bathroom to change into one of my new outfits. When I come back Dabi looks over at me, he's sitting on the bed reading my notebook.
"Can you stop picking up my notebook every time I'm not here?" He sighs and puts down it down.
"Thanks. I'm going out, I'll be back later." I tell him, before leaving I grab my notebook from Dabi's nightstand.
"Alright. Cya later kid."
