part 18

A few minutes later Hito announced that we were almost back to land. I nod and the moment he makes sure all of us are back on land I point my gun at him.

"I- I won't tell anyone-" I roll my eyes. Who cares?
"I don't give a shit about that." I tell him as I pull the trigger.
"I just don't trust people I don't know." I continue as his dead body tumbles into the water. I can still feel my heart pumping into my throat as I call Kurogiri to pick us up. Stain just watches until I'm done. That's when he asks about me. Who I actually and how much the media knows of me. I smile sweetly.
"Watch the recent news or search up "playful villain, Deku." You'll find it." I tell him. Stain just shrugs as me and Mustard go the other way.

At the base.

"We're back." I state as I enter the new main area.
"Midoriya!" I hear Kirishima yelp, I smile and walk towards him.
"You can just call me Deku like the rest Y'know." I state. Kirishina just shakes his head.
"That's the name Bitchass bullied you with. I'm not calling you that." How nice of you. I still don't really understand why Kirishima became a villain, he's so lovable, someone like him would be a great hero.
"It's fine really. Did you know they have an emergency cell for me in Tartarus. It was next to Sensei's." Shigaraki looked up at the mention of All for One.

"You didn't bother helping Sensei?" I burst out laughing and tell him to turn on the news, just then I get a notification on my phone saying there's an emergency news update.

"The notorious villain All for One has been shot in his cell not even an hour ago. The suspect of who committed this crime is supposedly the newest known villain. Deku." Shigaraki turns off the TV and just stares at me. It's completely silent as everyone looks at me in awe.
We all had been terrified of him.
"I did you guys a favor. You're welcome." I state, looking at everyone except Shigaraki.
"How did you do us a favor?" Shigaraki asked angrily.
"I wasn't talking to you." I tell him, Kirishima grins.
"I mean. Most of us were afraid of him and he didn't seem so important anyway.." kirishima stated, still with that brilliant grin on his lips. I quickly catch myself staring at them and look away.

Ok. This is getting a bit boring. Let's skip a few weeks and get to the Overhaul part. :)

"Hey boss. There's a new villain on the news." Magne informs me. She hands me a newspaper and points at an article.
Just like Magne said, it was about a "new villain" and he's taking the attention away from us. Great. They call this new villain "Overhaul" and he seems quite annoying to be honest.
I take the newspaper and get up.

"Giran. Please try finding a way to contact this "Overhaul" person. I would like to have a word with them." Giran nodded and went on with his paperwork.
"Hey boss." I turn around to see Kirishima enter the room.
"What's up?" He collapses.

"Wow- what happe-" someone had stabbed him. The first person that came to my mind was Toga. But I also knew no one in the league would dare stabbing another league member, unless it was during training but Kirishima was supposed to be at school.
"Aww you care about him~" I glare at Toga and realize the blood I'm seeing is fake. I glare at Toga some more as Kirishima gets up smiling.
"How cute." I feel my cheeks heating up and it takes a moment for me to regain my posture.
Kirishima chuckles, which doesn't really help.
"I'm busy Kirishima. And shouldn't you be at school?" He just shrugs.

"Yeah I should.. but who cares." I take a step back. He's gotten so close I could feel his breath on my face. Not that I was complaining, it was hot but not right now, I shouldn't be paying attention to that.
"I care. You have to go to school, not teasing me with some fake blood joke." I  state. He just chuckles which again, doesn't help.

"Aww c'mon boss~ it was just a joke~" with that last part he takes a step towards me. I feel my back hit the wall when I try taking one back.
"Go to school Kirishima." I order again.

"Nah~" I fell myself redden, which only amuses him more. The fact that he kinda towers over me is so much more obvious all of a sudden. I instinctively reach into my pocket where I usually have my guns, then I remember I took off my jacket seeing it's summer and way too hot to wear it. My guns are standardly in the pockets of my jacket.
Kirishima takes another step closer.

"Kirishima-" he cuts me off by coming even closer. His face only inches away from mine. I try moving away but he places a hand next to my head.
"You like me quite a lot, don't you?" What?! How did he know? I don't make it that obvious right?
"I-"
"Don't deny it I know you do." He tells me. If it's possible I redden even more.
"How-?" Is all I can ask, the rest of my words dying in my throat.

"Your notebook. You left it open on my page a few days ago. I closed it for you but couldn't help but read it before I did." He explained. Hardly giving me time to think he continues.

"Now give me the truth." I look into his eyes for the first time. That's all he needs as answer. Despite knowing that I still nodded and whispered:
"I do.. I like you.. a lot."
Kirishima smiles. That brilliant smile that always gets me flustered.
"Well that's just great~" he whispered as he pressed his lips against mine.
