part 49

Both me and Azarel graduated middle school with ease, after a few weeks the UA entrance exams began and Azarel still didn't know I would go to UA as well. That is until the physical exams where we were put in the same group. He spotted me and immediately ran toward me.
"Hey! I didn't know you were coming here." I look over him a few times, he's wearing trainings clothing just like me, though I still wear Kirishima's old cloths. They fit pretty good. I just shrug. I still wear the mask, so he couldn't see the small smile forming on my lips.
"Your hair looks cool today." I had asked Toga to tie it back again and they went all out to braid it and then tie it into the regular low ponytail. I nod in thanks and turn to the huge doors. The sound of them opening was deafening and Azarel covered his ears. I wasn't even phased by it seeing I'd spend the last few years with the loudest villains you can imagine.
Kirishima had told me that when he did these exams Present Mic was the one to do the explaining, now he was dead it was surprisingly Aizawa. Everyone runs in at once, clogging the doorway. I tap Azarel on the shoulder and gesture for them to follow me.
"Ok?" The door unclogs and everyone storms inside. My smile turns back into the usual frown as everyone yells at each other to get out of their way. Some of it even results in fighting but we just run past that.
"El! Wait up." I stop for a second to let him catch up to me.
"Jeez you run fast." He mutters, still catching a breath. A huge robot approaches us. I take out a dagger and jump up higher then most people would be able to. Aizawa had told me about a single spot where a blade could eliminate the bots. The neck. Or what looked like the neck. He said that my blade would slice through with ease and the bot would disactivate.
He was right.

10 minutes left.

"Wow-" Azarel muttered when the bot dropped to the ground. I whistle and point the other way.
"Split up."
He gets the hint and runs that way. A loud whistle is heard and a flock of birds start following him and struggle one of the bots to the ground. Holy fucking shit what the fuck-
I shake the shock away and focus back on the bots now making their way to me. Sweet. That's probably like 40 points.

"Hey ponytail!" I hear someone yell from behind me. Thinking the girl meant someone else I just keep eliminating the bots. The hologram above my head that's showing my points turns into a "50".

2 more minutes left

"Hey! I'm talking to you!" This time I do turn around to face the blue haired girl.
"Finally." She kicks one of the bots away and her points display flickers into a "45"
"Who the fuck are you?!" Is she angry because I have more points than her without using a quirk? Because I can use my quirk alright, I just don't like it.
"Talk to me bitch!" I look at her blankly. Why can't people just leave me the fuck alone? I think Azarel heard her screaming and he ran to us.
"Wow wow, lady take it easy." He says as he approaches us, slightly pushing me behind him as if I can't kill a person in cold blood.
"I'm not talking to you! Ponytail who the fuck are you?!" Azarel looked at me. Who just looks back bored.
"Look lady, he can't talk. Just leave him alone." Azarel groans, probably getting annoyed by the screaming girl. I look at his point display and notice he's also above 45 points. The girl just yells something else, turns around and walks away.
"Are you alright?" I nod. Once again kicking the robot behind me which puts my points at 51.
"Holy shit you have a lot of poi-" the earth shakes violently as a huge robot rises up between buildings. The 0 pointer.
"What-" I pull him out of the bot's way. He whistles again and another flock of birds makes itself out of the dust that was formerly laying on the pavement.

The birds start attacking the bot but it's no use and soon all the birds drop to the ground dead.
I pull my friend with me and start running away from the bot. I'm not scared quickly but I don't like a huge robot crushing me. That's just a lame way to die.

"Oh-" I stop running when the timer goes off, signaling the end of the exam. Azarel just looks at our hands, which are linked together. I quickly pull my hand away from him out of habit, red faced. I feel so lucky that my mask is covering the majority of my face because of how embarrassed it would be if he saw me like that.
"I'm sorry-" he squeels. His voice went like 5 octaves higher then usually and I couldn't help but smile.

5 days later Aizawa knocked on my bedroom door. Me and Azarel had been hanging out after my training and he was telling me how amazing I had done.
I open the door and I'm handed a letter signed to "Elias Midoriya." Aizawa explains that I ended up graduating top class. With that he pulls the door shut and leaves me flabbergasted.
"What is it?" I show him the letter and he smiles, saying he got that same letter yesterday, but then of course to "Azarel Takami" and not me. I nod and sit back down on my bed before opening the letter.

"To Elias Midoriya.

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to study at UA high.
Your classes start on September 1st and you're expected to arrive at 9 AM in class 1A. The dorms open on September 3rd. Be on time or don't be accepted.

Azarel looks over my shoulder.
"My brother- he didn't even tell me he'll  be working at UA.." He complains. I just nod.
"Hey we're in the same class!" He says when he re-reads the letter. Just another nod.

This mission will be a pain. At least Azarel will be there.
