part 24

{Deku's POV}

"Kurogiri, can you transport me here?" I ask, pointing out a small building on my makeshift map.
"Ehm.. that's UA high.. are you sure?"
"Did I stutter?" I close my notebook, where I drew the map, and put it away.
"Alright then I suppose.." Kurogiri opens a gateway to UA as I just shove a few more small things into my bag.
"I'll call when you can come pick me up." He just nods as I step into the portal.

I step out of the portal about a street away from UA. Without wasting a second I start sprinting towards the gate, not even bothering to put on my mask and beany, there's never anyone around at this time. When I arrive at the school gates I take a small card out of my pocket. There's a picture of Eijiro and has his name, Quirk and which class he goes to. I scan the card and when the small screen turns green I enter, just hoping Eijiro was right about the horrible security. He was.
I walk around for a bit, all while searching for the dorm building.
When I finally do find it I listen through the open window. Luckily there's no one outside.
"Kirishima, Kaminari and Sero share the third floor." I hear Eraserhead state. Glad to know. I quietly walk the the back of the building where the balconies are. I glance up and see Eijiro already standing on his balcony dusting off a rug. I have to move away to avoid the dust falling over me.
When I'm sure he's back inside I jump onto the lowest balcony. It's quite easy to do seeing it's hanging so low. While testing out how stable the handle is I hear someone fidgeting with the door handle, without thinking of it I jump up and can just grab onto the second balcony floor. And right when the door opens I manage to throw myself onto the platform. I look up, the next balcony is Eijiro's. Again I stand on top of the iron handle and jump up, grabbing the edge of the platform and praying to a non-existing god that I don't fall down.
Luckily I don't and smoothly throw myself over the edge. I glance through the curtains and see Eijiro moving around fourniture and hanging school uniforms in his closet.
When he sits down I softly knock on the glass door. To my delight he jumps a bit and cautiously walks towards the door.
He has a nice view from his balcony.
"Izu?" I turn back to him and smile.
"What are you doing here?" He asks immediately, concern crossing his face. Without answering I push him away and walk in. After talking a bit we hear a knock on the door.
"Shit- hide.. the closet, quick."
"Ehm excuse me, I came out years ago and will not be forced back into the closet." I whisper, nevertheless he pushes me into the closet. I look through the keyhole and see three people entering. I hear the vague sound of glass breaking.

Anyway, after all that Eijiro practically forces me out of his room and I can't do anything but jump from his balcony. I land smoothly and sprint back to the school gates.
When I'm outside I call Kurogiri to come pick me up. I slowly start walking to where he'll pick me up, I arrive and The warp gate appears but before I can walk in I hear something behind me. I turn around and see a little girl looking up at me. I reach for my pocket out of habit, despite the girl looking harmless.
"Ehm.. can I help you?" I ask, the girl looks around with pure fear in her eyes. I crouch down, even with that she's shorter. I'm guessing she's around six or seven.
"Please help me.." She whispers it so quietly it takes me a few seconds to understand, until I hear footsteps coming this way. Her eyes widen in fear and she presses herself against me, constantly revealing the phrase.
"help me please, he's coming."
"Who's coming?" I whisper back.
"Papa.. I don't want to go back.." She mutters. I glance at the alley where she probably came from and a figure appears from the darkness.
"What's your name kid?" I ask. The girl just shakes her head.
"I see you've met my daughter?" I look up, Overhaul.
"Your daughter?"
"Yes." I stand up and push the girl behind me.
"What are you doing here?" Overhaul just looks bored, and a bit frustrated.
"That's not your business boy. Give her back, or do you want me to destroy someone else from your team?" I feel the blood drain from my face, Toga and Twice are still with him. I hesitate, especially when I hear the girl whimper behind me. I put my hand in my pocket and manage to text both Toga and Twice that they have to get away from Overhaul's base.
"You wouldn't."
"I already did it once, I'll do it again. Give me my daughter back." I feel my phone buzz and have to hope it's them agreeing and not asking for an explanation.
"I don't think I will." I state, finally grabbing my gun and pointing it at him.
"Don't be a fool boy. Do you really want your men to die over a child?"
"No, but I'd like you to." I tell him.
"Eri, do you really want more people to die for you?" The girl behind me rapidly shakes her head.
"Eri, that's your name right?" Eri slowly nods.
"No one is going to die, ok? I'll make sure of it. Go through that portal and there should be someone waiting for you, tell him I'll be there in a moment as well." She hesitates but runs into the warp gate.
"Your a fool Boy." I pull the trigger and run into the portal myself, not waiting to see the damage. Though, I hear a  satisfying groan coming from behind me.

"Boss. What's going o- Hey that's Overhaul's Kid right?" Toga entered the room a bit after the warp gate closed.
"Yeah, I ran into her and Overhaul on my way home." Kurogiri had given Eri a small cup of hot chocolate, after she finished it she asked why I helped her.
"Personal reasons, and I hate your dad." I explained. She looked a bit confused but shrugged it off. I looked her over one more time and just then noticed her arms and legs were covered in bandages.
"What's with that?" I ask curiously, pointing at the bandages.
"Papa.."

"Oh please tell me you killed the guy." Toga says when she hears it.
"I shot him but I don't think I actually killed him. Unfortunately." Both Toga and Twice curse but go do their own thing.
"Can I see underneath the bandages?" I ask. Eri hesites a bit but nods slowly. I sit down next to her and carefully remove one of the bandages on her arm.
